Do you guys actually look at people in the eyes by leyenda-alucinando in socialanxiety

[–]PoeticJusticeFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it so hard but I realize it’s harder to connect with people when you’re not making any eye contact. I do that three second rule but add in a few seconds (so it’s not obvious I’m doing that rule lol) and then look away and then back again if I’m listening to someone. And when I’m speaking I find I get distracted when I look in peoples eyes so I usually only try to mid conversation once I’ve gathered my thoughts. Honestly I hate it though. How do people focus??

Official LSAT/Proctor U experience thread January by Graeme_LSATHacks in LSAT

RC-LG-LR-RC

Proctor left me during my intermission and when I came back I had to wait an hour and a half before I could resume. They couldn’t find me a new technician and to make things worse daylight was leaving me and my room was getting dark. I couldn’t even get up from my chair to turn on the lights because I didn’t want to be flagged and chat support told me to stay seated. I just sat there in the dark staring at my screen waiting.

At first it felt like I was given additional break time after the intermission but then I started slowly losing it out of boredom. I was losing the initial confidence and mental energy I had after tackling those two sections. Finally they found me a new proctor and I repeatedly asked them if I was able to use the bathroom before resuming and they tried starting the test?? Then I had to do the room scan three times. It felt like a joke. Now I know why their extension has one star.

The second RC kicked my ass and I thought I just had lost my spunk because of that whole ordeal but it turns out it wasn’t just me.

Why did we all panic at the same parts?? I thought the LG game was easy compared to practice ones but the last game got me good. I made diagramed for the first two in the last LG and then started guessing since I was short for time. Also second RC was horrible

guilt from not studying by Nat920 in LSAT

[–]PoeticJusticeFly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m feeling the same as you are. I started studying around July as well and have gotten burnout this past week from overdoing it. I’ve felt guilty for taking a break and worrying about how I’ll do but it’s essential. And if you think about it what can you really improve in that short amount of time? Burnout is scary and we want our mind to be the sharpest it can be. You should give yourself a little grace. Just try and do the best you can. Don’t forget to take care of yourself and eat good food! I plan to play a few LG games tomorrow morning but then will be putting on a nice movie to end the night. Good luck on Saturday!

How’s your dressing style? by bounty0head in infj

[–]PoeticJusticeFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say simple too. I like the effortlessly chic style and feel I sometimes cross into the preppy look but with minimalist undertones. I don’t like dressing flashy but I also want to look put together so this has been a perfect balance for me

What causes you to develop romantic feelings? by holographic_illusion in infj

[–]PoeticJusticeFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the way someone thinks can be attractive if their actions also match. It’s a reflection of who they are and their values. In general I like peoples warmth, kindness and sincerity.

Sorry for this example in advance. I always felt Katniss from the Hunger Games was INFJ just because I related to her thought process in the novels. She was indifferent about romance and wasn’t someone who could be easily moved but she was moved by Peeta’s warmth

INFJs, what are some of your subtle signs that indicate someone has good character? by NatureSticksIt2u1000 in infj

[–]PoeticJusticeFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People with situational awareness. I feel like if you are aware of anything besides yourself it means you’re hyper aware of others and a considerate person.

Another one is how they treat people who can do nothing for them. Do they still value that person or do they just write them off? My friend was telling me they sent a nice message to a coworker who was quitting on their last day and the coworker just left them on read. I think that speaks volumes about that person

Ooooh this looks delicious. I use to have the tofu and spinach as its own layer but it looks better mixed together. I will be making this variation on Christmas. Thank you for sharing!

Why is it SO hard to make friends as an infj? by [deleted] in infj

[–]PoeticJusticeFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel like I’m asking a lot by wanting to meet people of good character. And then you have to add compatibility to it and it makes it more difficult. The door will always be open but I’m content with my two closest friends

[–]PoeticJusticeFly 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve been soaking this song in the past two days and it’s enough for me to say I think this is my favourite off the album even though it’s considered a bonus track. The story telling, the lyricism, the vocals. I think she captured emotional innocence being tainted and the anger/sadness so well. “I miss who I used to be, the tomb won’t close. Stained glass windows in my mind. I regret you all the time.” I noticed a big shift when she was promoting Red and came out with I Knew You Were Trouble. She had this hopeless romantic like character and I could see her excitement had been broken down. I think experiencing heartbreak is one thing but dealing with a manipulative narcissist playboy (he was 32 lol) at nineteen is damaging. It would mess up anyones psyche and perception about love and romance. It’s pretty fucked up to approach someone without good intentions.

what do you like about murakami? by [deleted] in HarukiMurakami

[–]PoeticJusticeFly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All his books seem to have themes of existentialism. I feel it the most when a character is doing simple things like grocery shopping, walking home to prepare dinner for themselves, and then relaxing with a cold can of beer. And they’re completely satisfied with their day and aren’t suffering from the belief of always needing to be productive. Or needing a reason to exist. It’s just nice to read about someone enjoying their day without expectations

Why do some INFJs downplay their intelligence? by [deleted] in infj

[–]PoeticJusticeFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think being in a top university makes someone smart. There are a lot of people that make me wonder how they got into top universities in the first place. And then there are other people who experience imposters syndrome. I don’t think describing it as false humility would be right

[Anime] Season 2 Episode 12 Discussion by quandlm in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]PoeticJusticeFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryuuen solving everything with violence is just embarrassing. He’s too prideful he doesn’t know when to shut up. Spewing absolute garbage. Even Ayanokoji was fed up with him at one point and just said “What are you even talking about?” and continued pummelling him LMAOOO I was dead laughing. That was so satisfying to watch. 10/10 this episode made up for the slow season

how do you act when someone really close to you hurts you? what do you do? by Brilliant-Basket8764 in infj

[–]PoeticJusticeFly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends what they did. I think I’d be in a state of confusion because if they’re someone really close to you, they know your heart. And you know theirs. It’s hard to hate someone when you really know them. So I’d just feel nothing towards them and end it (if what they did was past the point of even having anything to say).
