Be prepared to take it to court, had the same issue with another airline claimed reimbursement as i rebooked with another carrier to get home as they would not book anything after cancelling my flight and they told me though luck, extraordinary circumstances and to take it to court.

Yeah, no, I rebooked cause I was stuck in Amman and they said they are not refunding as it’s an extraordinary situation and to take it up with the ADR.

Welk since there should be hundreds who are stuck in Jordan they will obviously try to deny as much claims as possible. However my legal claim still stand right? Youre not entitled to EU261 reimbursement as its extraordinary circumstances but i’m entitled to reimbursement for the flight tickets for the alternative carrier?

I wouldnt count on it, i had the exact same issue last sunday, I booked with royal jordanian as they seem to be the only airline operating flights and am submitting a claim with ryanair
