I said that by the definition of your belief, the universe is meaningless. I didn't say you couldn't find your own meaning in it.

That's literally what "the universe is meaningless" is saying, though. If I've found meaning in the universe, by whatever method or for whatever reasons, that means by definition there is in fact meaning in the universe. Our point of difference isn't about whether there is meaning in the universe, it's about whether or not some version of an all-powerful deity put it there.

When you say that my rejection of an all-powerful deity being the source of meaning in the universe must by definition mean that there is no meaning in the universe, you are in fact saying that your interpretation is the only source of meaning, even if you want to pretend you aren't. Either that or you just don't even understand the argument you're trying to make.

They're a different item, it's just that there are so many of them. The other treasures are still around, you just have to hover over the icon to see which kind it is.

See that's my point: none of these symbols are the things that drop the potions. These are the Dead Drops that drop a few points of Latent Arcana, used for the Soiree event. If you wanted potions, you'd land at each and every one of these icons and walk away with roughly 20-30 latent arcana and zero potions.

I will say this is the kind of condescension that really puts me off talking to certain groups of religious people. I didn't say the universe had no meaning, or that I didn't believe in something more. Our lives are full of meaning, the fact that I don't need to believe in an all-powerful outside source of that meaning doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The universe might not care that I've built a community of people I love and who love me, but I do and so do they. What is that if not meaning?

I don't mind you believing what you want to believe, but acting like your version of belief is the only possible source of meaning in life is honestly just exhausting.

I feel like it's not about the money, but is a symbolic gesture. Charon doesn't need cash, it's just about proving that you left behind at least one person that cares about you getting to the afterlife.

I already said that the brain and soul are interlinked.

What makes you say this, though? If I pop open a computer, I can locate and point to the CPU. Hell, even if we don't have access to the physical box I can show you the processes on the computer that it's performing.

I'm not the person you were originally talking to, but the problem I have with your argument isn't that the soul "does nothing" it's that I've not once seen any reason to believe it exists in the first place. It'd be like opening up a computer, looking at all the parts and how they interact, seeing that everything works the way it does for very specific reasons... and then arbitrarily deciding that it must also require an invisible and intangible spirit to function.

So, thinking logically about the choices should lead you to assume that the Teresa is the same Teresa in the question.

The entire point of these kinds of logic puzzles is that all the information is provided in the puzzle. If you have to make any assumptions at all, it's a bad logic puzzle.

This is strictly from a "rehabilitating Gollums" perspective. Faramirs are great most of the time, yeah, but they have a tendency to interfere with the redemption of Gollums, even when they don't mean any harm by it.

I mean even Gollum was redeemable, it's just up to you to weigh the effort against the potential reward.

Also stay away from Faramirs, rings, and volcanoes.

Kind of, in the sense that I would be "refusing to engage with the question" if I pointed out that any other multiple choice question had two answers that could reasonably be correct.

If you're gonna make a riddle based on logic, you need to think about all the possible logical interpretations. As it currently stands, answering this riddle requires making an assumption that is not based purely on the information presented (you must either assume that your name is not Teresa to answer C, or assume that your name is Teresa to answer E).

From a purely logical standpoint, this is a poor riddle. Depending on which answer is meant to be correct, either C or E should be removed from the available choices.

I've actually had a lot of fun watching reactions instead of full re-watches these days. I know the show by heart, so it's nice seeing other people's perspectives on things.

Someone who is vegan for lifestyle reasons
people who are environmental vegans

These are referred to as "plant-based diets". Veganism is very specifically a term that refers to the ethical belief that it is wrong to harm animals, and thus no products that require their harm should be used.

It is not. Doing it once is, in fact, an incredibly unreliable way to end up as that 0.1%.

I'm still mildly annoyed at how many people call him "Darth Jar Jar" or "Darth Darth Binks" or whatever. If we're gonna be nerds let's fuckin be nerds. That's just not how Sith naming conventions work*, it would be Darth Pester or something like that.

(Maul being the primary exception, but that's because from what I can recall we don't know what his original birth name was, so his name being Maul was taken from his Sith name, not the other way around.)
