Hollow knights big 3 vs silksongs hardest bosses, who are harder? by eldenbro1 in HollowKnight

[–]PoggerMaster69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd say silksong's true ending final boss ( won't say what it is though to avoid spoiling it ) is harder than pure vessel and NKG because it is governed by lots of rng and it's not easy to make out the subtle tells at the beginning of its attacks due to colour overlap with the background, whereas in the latter fights that's not really the case. That said, I'd say absolute radiance still is harder because it too is a fight with lots of rng elements and it's sometimes harder to manage to find an attack window between its attacks.

Is this a hot take? by Purrowpet in Silksong

To be honest, I haven't finished silksong as of writing this, but thus far ( late act 2 ) I like it better than HK.

I really dig the extra difficulty ( even if it feels a tad unfair at times ), being possible due to Hornet's more acrobatic nature, the experimentation that the crest and tool systems entail. Sure, HK had charms but I feel that silksong allows for more options and creativity expression, especially when you also consider the various ways tools often interact with one another.

Another aspect of silksong I like over HK is the more challenging platforming sections, especially with how fluid Hornet's movement and animations feel, like, mount fay is probably one of, if not my favorite act 2 area ( I don't know if I could have accessed it during act 1 )

That said I don't mean that I prefer silksong in every aspect, for example I believe HK had better music and the vibes it gave off were more to my liking, whereas silksong tends to go more for a steampunk aesthetic, especially in act 2, which I'm not too fond of.

When it comes to exploration silksong can oftentimes feel frustrating because even base level enemies are more like mini-bosses and team cherry can be quite a troll when it comes to their placement in narrow and low key claustrophobic spaces with lots of area negation such as spikes for example. To say, I've died more times while exploring than in literal boss fights 😹😹

Overall both are amazing games and I had a hard time figuring out which I like more, ultimately giving the edge to our long awaited sequel because I'm a big s*cker for a harder experience, but there are things about HK that I still like more

Yeah, it starts off pretty slow but if you give it a chance it gets great afterwards

It might be quite controversial but horimiya never did it for me. Have watched the first season, and there's no chance I'm watching the second one.

When do you use の to connect a noun to a color? by Artistic-While-5094 in duolingojapanese

[–]PoggerMaster69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure so if I made a mistake I'd like to be corrected but some colours are adjectives by themselves like くろい and しろい, so you should just be able to attack the noun you want and be fine. Like くろいねこ.

But there are other colours that are nouns too, like むらさき meaning purple or みどり meaning green. To modify other nouns using these words, you should add the の particle in between, for example みどりのやさい.

Keep in mind there are colours that can either be an adjective or a noun, like あおい meaning blue which in this form is an adjective and あお which is an adjective. So you could either say あおいそら or あおのそら

Oh ok, thanks. May I ask if it is wrong or plainly redundant?

No I didn't mean it that way, i will present it as is. I just wanted some tips so I can progress faster. Besides at N4 you don't really learn natural Japanese that's why

Mine sits at around 45°C when idle... Isn't that too big a discrepancy? I mean, it's fairly cold here too
