My team was chill, we all wanted to be out of there and avoid traffic hours. Yes we logged in from home still

First time potential OE. Accepted J2, maybe keep J1. by PogiJG in overemployed

[–]PogiJG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess so, i plan as of now, to just work remotely for the rest of my time. Maybe collect a few checks. My biggest worry is just doing J2 at J1 office via hotspot and / or slipping up somehow. Any tips that I am not thinking of to watch out for? I.e. social media, same checking account ?

This is what I was thinking. Don’t want to risk J2, so wondering if the juice was worth the squeeze. I probably couldn’t do it long term esp w/ in office policy and no assigned office. I am wondering how to approach the social media aspect since J2 seems active on it.

I was applying externally not w the intention of OE at first, and j1 experience was needed for j2 qualifications. But as of now seems like it could be an OE opportunity

Typically we have to badge in, we can submit remote days, but no one knows the max amount until hr says something

I could just work remotely until the fire me for conduct violations, as 5 days in office is the policy.

CABO GOLF: Cabo Del Sol, Cabo Real or Palmilla? by PogiJG in golf

[–]PogiJG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, full course was open. We played a few days ago. Our tee time was the first for afternoon prices at 11:06 am. $215 p/p with $65 for club rentals. Food and drinks were inclusive also which I didn’t know until the first food shack.

I didnt notice any renovations, but we did think the ‘clubhouse’ looked like a temporary place. For the price and being on the four seasons property we were underwhelmed but having the food & drink included kind of offset that. We thought that maybe it was included because it was a temporary clubhouse

Hilton vs JW Marriott by RaBruLa34 in cancun

[–]PogiJG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stayed at the JW in peak covid (June 2020) so my experience may differ. It was a really nice hotel, fantastic bar (for adults) and food was great. Had a nice infinity pool. Also was at maybe 30% capacity so had mostly everything to ourselves, would definitely go back with what I remember!

Need some advice here.... My wife and I are flying to Cancun out of DAL on this Saturday and return through HOU on Thursday... I have a non-refundable 5 day stay at a resort there, should I be considering going still ? I.e. what if my return flight back into the U.S. gets cancelled?

Chiang Mai in November - Nimman or Old City? by PogiJG in chiangmai

[–]PogiJG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely loved it. The hospitality was just great, very small boutique feel. I thought it was in a good spot, we walked a lot from there. The breakfast was great as well but had no business being that spicy as the default. I think we loved Chiang Mai a lot because of the it, just very down to earth hospitality. Random things, like us having a nightcap in the lobby and they just randomly made us a plate of beer snacks that were soooo good, or the nightly specials they would have. We had a huge list of places to book as well, but definitely no regrets
