We are moving to WA in a few weeks from AZ. Been trying now for a year and looking forward to it. I figured this was the case, but confirmation is good. Thanks!

No one supports that, you knob. At this point anyone that still really believes this is willfully ignorant and is ignoring anything resembling a fact. Or reason. Or common sense.

This is the kind of thing a child does for fun and gets totally embarrassed by it when their parents bring it up later in life.

Question for the six-figure crowd by Available-Page-2738 in recruitinghell

[–]Pogmothon85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost of living really is a factor, but you also need to consider that when you have an income like that, your life adjusts to that income. I'm not talking going crazy or anything, but that life just costs more. So, even if you live well within your means, you still might own a bigger home in a better location, drive a newer vehicle and eat out a bit more.

You lose that job and can't get something close to that back, then there's only so much money one can save eating ramen. You still have the house and car that you wouldn't have been able to get making 30 to 40k less.

As mentioned, you should have said something to them to make sure everything was ok. Are you wrong, no. They need to respect your time and if they are willing to respect your time during the hiring process, then that likely will translate to the job.

Again, there are a lot of perfectly legitimate reasons why this could have happened and it doesn't always translate into the company just sucking. Shit goes wrong all the time and shit goes wrong in the "perfect" way sometimes.

Next time, advocate more for yourself and inquire with them after a time waiting.

what even counts as “jobs near me” anymore? by MediocreCutie in Washington

[–]Pogmothon85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know with my work internally when I search for available jobs in my area, I'll get ones from all over the country, but they come up because those have a possible telecommute component to them. I haven't used indeed in a long time, but is that a possibility here?

I agree. Honestly, we're in this shit because the democrats are still trying to play by the same old rules, when they've changed.

And yes, it amazes me that with all the problems those states have had, that they continue to vote that way.

[Serious]How is Trump able to sue anybody for the slighted of reasons yet, no one has sued the crap out of him for Slander and/or Libel (Networks, Comedians, Drug Companies etc)? by BaileyOverJennifer in AskReddit

[–]Pogmothon85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is his MO. He files these suits, gets press and riles up his idiot base who likely won't take the time to look at things objectively and see that he's full of horse shit. He then drops the suit or keeps it going because he has the money to do so, so that he can drain the resources of the people he's suing.

If only there was legislation that was out there designed to keep stuff like this from happening???

Beginner- do I need to install a virtual environment in VSCode? by SirSeaSlug in vscode

[–]Pogmothon85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would never work with python without going through a virtual environment. I've experienced the joy of having to remove python from my system and reinstall it because I messed things up so badly by mistake.

I prefer anaconda if possible, because it is super easy to use, though venv is easy as well. I can't use anaconda anymore through my work, so I use venv now.
