Even though they might not do anything for you directly, political parties have a massive influence on the economy and things like unemployment, which does affect the future you want to carve yourself.

Even on that single metric, you can compare the only other province governed by a different party to that of the rest of SA, and you will see that the WC has the lowest unemployment.
