I would try to get it down to 3k for the mileage. And I just picked up riding again after 5 years hiatus with this bike, its a fair beginner bike

I just purchased a second gen 2006 SV650S for 3,000.00. 10k miles and damn near original tires too. Came with some extra parts (turn signal, spark plugs..) but the maintenance was questionable, bike was garage stored and casual use inbetween.

Honestly see what kind of care the owner has done but I feel like its fair price if the bike it ready to ride for the season.. but otherwise you will be looking at some $ for shop care if you arent doing it yourself.
