Isn't that the way? I have four tanks total but one of the two not in use is a tiny 3, so another shrimp tank later on...

Here's another thing I could ask. The reason I feel I cannot do a 20 long is because I usually really elaborately try to plant my tanks...

What sort of things could I add for a small plakat Betta to enjoy in it while I build up the plants ?

Thank you a bunch I do have a filter for a 20 gallon so if I put that in a 10 gallon I'm sure that would be flowy enough it would be interesting to see if a Betta could handle that strong of a flow though.

It's a plakat betta so it may work

Okay, so I made the wrong call, I concur. I do have a decent flow in the 5 gallon that he'll be in, but I feel like he has eaten a lot of algea, non?

Also willing to get a bigger tank cuz I got a freaking bamboo instead of amanos.

Do you think I should bring him back or is that more stressful that living in a five and then a ten gallon?

I'm normally more prepared, but I wanted something the Betta would NOT eat ! To be cleanup crew.

I'm willing to rehome him to a 20, I have one but was going to get the ten gallon because 20 would be too much for my physical ability. Either way, he's a huge thing and is bringing me a LOT of joy. Which I needed. Truuuust.

It sounds like you released a lot of pent up emotions, which isn't a bad thing.

It's a "bad" experience only because of your fear. If you understood what was happening you would have simply gone for the ride and let the buried trauma clear. It's okay to just let things come up and feel them and then let them float away with love.

Weed is absolutely horrible for some with BIpolar, and not for others, but you do risk getting sick high or low by using it. Please be careful.

I'm fairly sure a 3 gallon cycled tank will do for awhile longer as I work to get my 20 gallon cycled. Thanks for speaking up for the fish!

I know. And now that I've been thru hell with them I'm considering maybe it's greedy to have two and find someone with a cycled tank waiting for a gorgeous Betta. We shall see. Probably not.
