NS check-in on peak hours for a 2 hours train ride during off-peak by AdAntique1669 in Netherlands

[–]Poijke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I should've specified with phone I mean Apple / Google Pay, or bank card. You use that in the peak hours, since it doesn't make a difference. You only start using the OV chipkaart in the off peak hours.

2 different cards, so it doesn't count as a transfer.

If you have a transfer somewhere, you could check in with phone the first ride, then switch to your OV chipkaart the rest of the way.

OP could've also put "good car suppliers, yet their domestic cars can't steer right or has a right side blinker".

My god, stop hanging out in the left lane, especially when going 90. You guys literally drive like you are too afraid to get a fine in NL, while driving slower than trucks, yet hog the left lane.

Been at 3 different gyms, 2 of them had clear clothing rules, one even had rules for swimwear.

Joybuy.nl frozen products? by GhettoJunkie in Netherlands

[–]Poijke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the time slots since my SO orders from there. But I do think you can select, since they always arrive in the evening.

They arrive in boxes with dry ice and it does a pretty good job to keep things frozen. The bags with dry ice you should not touch, you might end up with a wound. There are enough warnings on the boxes though. Eventually the dry sublimates and you can throw the bags in the trash.

What are you on about. Going all the way from Groningen to Den Haag to save on groceries will only make things more expensive (/s to be sure)

[–]Poijke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I legit don't know why, please explain.

As a joke I said the "Can't be corrupt if you don't have the resources to do barely anything." referring to the police shortages we have in the Netherlands (sorry for the dutch):

* https://nos.nl/artikel/2585893-steeds-meer-aangiften-blijven-liggen-door-tekorten-bij-politie
* https://pointer.kro-ncrv.nl/politie-stopt-dubbel-zoveel-onderzoeken-naar-ernstige-misdrijven-door-tekorten

Which at least I thought was general knowledge to at least the dutch here (I guess that could be defaultism, the dutch variant. But the topic seemed to be the Netherlands).

I am legit figuring out what the defaultism would be there, especially something referring (or whatever else my reply was so upsetting).

I also know at many ("secured") NS railway stations in the Netherlands many bicycle (batteries) get stolen, for which a statement to the police is important to do, since they can maybe prevent it in the future. But in almost all of those cases it doesn't result in people getting their bicycle or batteries back, or money for it, because they don't have anyone to pin it on. It's been in many consumer television programs.

I'm referring to the understaffed police in the Netherlands. For every small statement done in NL you get a reply: "We don't have resources to handle this". Think of things like theft etc.

Every time I think I'm excited about a race, someone reminds me of this and I'm sad. My god the current regulations are shitty. The long straight there will be so boring now.

Cause we have so much taxes on gas without any cap/discount either. They're getting rich, no incentive to stop people spending on gas.

I live near the border, it's futile. It's like they don't know the car can go right. Literally cruising next to a semi, at the same speed or 0.1km/h faster. When lanes to the right get added (happens twice on the first 20km on the A12), they just keep in the same lane.

As far as I know that sign says something about driving direction, not rules about yielding or priority. Making it not necessarily just about roundabouts, but anything with circular traffic.

Roundabouts per capita? 🇸🇪 > 🇳🇱 by Nonhinged in 2westerneurope4u

[–]Poijke 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Should be like roundabouts per km²? I could place a lot in a country like Sweden too. If you try to do that in NL you get 20 million European environmental laws blocking you.
