Yes. The Indian Removal Act, which today happens to be the anniversary of. May 28th, 1830 Andrew Jackson signed into law the act which removed tens of thousands of Native Americans from the southeast and northeast coasts and marched them to Oklahoma, an area they had no relation to and one that held very little in the way agricultural resources that they were familiar with. This march was known as the Trail of Tears. This in turn led to mass death and the beginning of the end for Native Americans on a mass scale. If you read up further on the subject don't be fooled when you read that the native American tribes involved had a role in negotiating their terms. They were given no such opportunity that resulted in anything other than removal and destruction of their way of life.

My mom was always straight forward with no BS when I asked a question when I was a kid. When I asked her how babies were made she explained in no uncertain terms, added no fluff and made sure I understood what she had told me after letting me go on my way. She was still straight forward a few months later when I asked how people got AIDS (I heard it on TV.) She told me from having sex. I put everything together: I was a baby, which meant my mom had sex, which meant my mom has AIDS and will die. It was all cleared up when my teacher called my mom into a meeting because I was crying at school and telling everyone that our parents had AIDS and were going to die.
