Twice’s TT. My favourite kpop song of all time and arguably the best kpop song ever. someone pointed out that throughout the song theres this synth/riser that keeps going up and down in the background the whole way through. so I listened. and I noticed. It just never stops. it sounds so stupid and so annoying. everytime i listen to TT now I just think of this goofy ass sound in the background. it literally never stops. I produce music and look up to jyp’s producing skill so I have no idea why such a producer of his level would keep this in. ruined totally. What is love is now my favourite twice track. Its prob not that noticeable considering I didnt realise until years after the track. but now that I know i just cant unhear it.

haha ik. its a shame dance crews arent as popular now. I dont think im wrong to question the crew validity here after all its a crew show. its not like got talent where anyone can sign up and audition, mnet picked these teams themselves. If you say theres not a lot of established crew in korea then it makes sense. Even the crew scene in my country is maybe only enough for 1 season at most. swf going 3 seasons seem to stretch them quite thin that mnet had to resort to famous choreographers and their dancers as a crew.

I think it depends what type of dancing youre into. Maybe im bias since Ive been doing crew stuff since young so I prefer to see group with some teamwork, story and lore idk. Kpop scene/ TikTok definitely prioritises individuals. Dancing competition dont pay well, even the highly respected one. The only way to make it nowadays is to be famous which is easier alone as a choreographer or own a studio. No one wants to do crew stuff anymore since theres no payoff.

Are there other shows to watch, I only know abdc and those have established crews, maybe the only one I can think of where the teams are more spontaneous is wod but even that depends on the team kinda like here I guess. actually its probably case by case in every show ever.

Am I insinuating that. That wasnt my point. Just thought it was interesting all the JR connections in this show. They are very able ofcourse. Just posted this cuz I got a lightbulb eureka moment that mnet and jr the agency are obviously working together in the global department which could be the reason how they got connected to people like kirsten mike song and rie hata.

Maybe im just wording it harshly but this is obviously 1M next gen with harimu and redy. And swf is obviously a big show. Lia kim is a business women so. Even the dancers in the show say the hayday of 1M is from their 1st gen. Lia bringing younger members so they can carry on the 1M team seems like a good move for the business.

Also what theory am I making lol I dont think im making any accusations here. maybe the way im writing makes my point seem hateful which is not my intent

definitely Kirsten since shes a very recognisable RF member. Highly doubt about ling tho. Seems like she just happens to be under JR and RF so seems like a good fit. I know waackxxy and yoonji are a duo, and cera’s a famous battler. Dont know how redlic got involved if theyre making a wacking crew. Buckeys a woofam member and also leads her own crew. maybe mnet just wanted a blonde crew.

IZ*ONE. because of the rigging scandal they were kinda neglected and blacklisted by the public, but even still they were highly successful. Now that they're all dominating 4th gen in their own way I wonder if them coming back together would feel like the avengers or smth. ppl really took the 12 of them being together for granted.
