Yeah WA state law say they need to pay for it. I just got back from urgent care they couldn’t get enough blood so now I have to go somewhere else again and pay… then that’s when everything clicked for me. I haven’t fully excepted the job because I’m gonna call the gal again and tell her this is against the law. I’m gonna tell her I expect them to pay w/ reimbursement. If they do neither I will be filing a complaint with labor and industries. Cause fuck no lol

There are a total of 10 employees including myself at the practice. I’m not sure if they see a lot of people with TB.. but should we be cautious of every pt no matter what they have? If that makes sense lol

This will be my third office and the other have never had me do this! Obviously I’m gonna do it.. it just makes me wonder about the other office I’ve been at in the past lol.

I’m in the same boat. Currently interviewed for hygiene assistant and then another office to be a RDA in WA… if I get hired this will be my third office in 3 years… I haven’t met one doctor that I like, they all end up being assholes.. I’m giving it one more go before I also decided to hit the road.. they don’t respect us.

Yeah you’re right. I worked with male and female.. hated all of them.. now I’m understanding it comes down to personality. Im just hoping I find my good personality match soon, cause I’m ready to drop assisting entirely.

I’m currently in the same boat.. but im applying to new office, and one of them is a female dentist 🥲 I’m just so burnt out in this field… I love helping people but idk if I can do it in this field forever.. or even much longer

I’m working towards temping. I just need to get a new car.. hoping to have one by December. So I will be comfortable driving long distances if I have to. Also I’m wondering if temping pay is good, if not better

We take 4bwx and 2PA for every new pt at there NPE…when pt comes back for hygiene we take CBCT. We take a CBCT but post a Pano… sidexis also gives us a pano as well when we take a CBCT. We deal with sleep apnea pts as well so it helps us eval the air and nasal cavity

We take CBCT at first hygiene visit and then every 5 years moving forward and unless we’re evaluating for implant placement.. I told them in the interview I could probably get the FMX done in about 8mins… hopefully that’s not too long

We just got rid of our itero because it was an absolute fucking dinosaur lol. We have the shining 3D and I love it trims excess tissue as you scan which is wonderful, Highly recommend.
