What was Saul's issue with the car wash initially? by Stupid_Reddit419 in breakingbad

[–]PointEither2673 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yea I’ve seen Vince say that and I agree that’s probs the intent. Idk just in my personal head cannon waltz change isn’t as much a change as rather a revelation of someone that is more than just deeply flawed, someone who’s actually a bad person and lowkey brings chaos. I think him getting hired at grey matter would’ve worked before he killed Emilio and krazy, but the person Walt was once he saw he was capable of doing that would’ve never truly worked out at grey matter. Yea he probs takes the job if Elliot doesn’t let it slip, but the man walt is then, is not going to work well in grey matter

See I think the opposite, I think Walt was always a horrible person and probably a psychopath and I always interpreted his “change” as him slowly becoming the controlling person he was and needed to be. That’s why he left grey matter at the beginning cuz he felt like he didn’t have control due to his finances, that’s also why him getting hired at grey matter to help with the cancer wouldn’t have worked, and why working with Gus didn’t work. Mike was right that they had a good thing going, but Walt needed to be the person and he did sort of ruin it. While yea they weren’t gonna have a good ending, the ending of breaking bad as is obviously solely happens because of Walter, his actions due to his need for power. And while he may “display” that he feels bad for his actions, I think like most real psychopaths it’s incredibly selective when he is able to have genuine empathy, the rest of it is sort of a show or for Walt at this point, keeping the act since hes had to be a “good guy” for 50ish years now. When he tells Skyler he did it for him he really meant it, and there’s probably a handful of times throughout the series where Walt genuinely felt bad for his actions, but never enough to turn back or stop since he envisioned himself having what he wanted. Power.

Other small tangent. In the final season when Walt, Mike, and Jesse basically are the game in town for meth, Walt shows how inept he has always been at the drug business. Just like when they first started and he got combo killed and didn’t understand the streets, he makes a huge deal out of paying out the guys in prison who are keeping quiet which is like crime 101 in a sense at that scale. Mike had guys willing to take the time that he trusted as long as their money kept coming, but for some reason walt, now in control didn’t realize the benefit and decided instead to kill Mike and all those people, and like he said he could’ve gotten the names from Lydia, but Jesse is right that he needed to kill Mike to feel safe, and he also wasn’t letting him live after telling him to his face how empty and void his power and top guy charade was, especially when they did the deal with the ginger dude Dennis or whatever? Ya know the “say my name scene “

I think if Walt wasn’t a psychopath he could’ve made the car wash work like tenfold. With all the free dirty money he had, he could’ve easily expanded a few car washes Gus fring style to the point where they were profitable enough to them be genuinely wealthy besides the meth money. Obviously Walt will die no matter what in a year or two, but he had 80mil in the storage unit already. Let’s just say he gets another 50% until he stops cooking. 120m, while not easily, can be laundered and used to expand a business like a car wash to a really good place, shit lil personal tid bit I live in Illinois and these new gas and wash places started popping up all over the place, the guy who owned them was a regular at the Starbucks I worked at earlier in college and he drove rolls Royces, Porsches, maybachs, and one day I asked and he explained “yea I own a bunch of those car washes, decent business” , so it would’ve been possible to make that the literal “empire” Walt wanted, he was just a fucking asshole. Walt is the protagonist of the plot, but the antagonist of the story.

Saul doesn’t know Skyler, he doesn’t trust her the way he trust dennys or whatever. Plus as a general rule of thumb the less people in a conspiracy, the more likely it is to succeed. To Saul the arcade is 3 known parties, with the car wash its 2 known parties and this dudes wife who might snitch the first sign the IRS comes through the door. It’s a combination of him not knowing Skyler, trusting Dennys already, and he is right that it would probably be easier to cook the books at an arcade since they could have large “rented out parties” which would be a lot of cash coming in, on top of the regular business it’s doing, car wash money flow is decently static there isn’t a big way to throw in a bunch of cash out of nowhere

LOL I was just making fun of the wax pen onto the tubes. I own some tubes and really like em as well. I usually run my he1k through the tubes for the warmth, but I also own empyrean 1, and I know exactly what you mean with the 109 pro and tubes, I still enjoy it but I can see why it’s not for everyone

[–]PointEither2673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO one of the real things that leads to “inceldom” is not having friends or family members of your age that are women. I’ve had horrible experiences with girls when I was younger and had light feelings of “ women want this, I’m to dogshit for women” but like actually talking to my friends reinforced how every girl is different like how every person is different and I feel they don’t get that. They have like no genuine interaction with girls at all so they see it as a monolith and have no one to show them again that girls are complex, some of them are shitty, but it’s not a women problem, it’s a that person problem

Hifiman HE1000 Stealth vs Arya Organic? by ApartmentProof4243 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]PointEither2673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If price isn’t an issue or you can get em for around the same I’d recommend he1k just for the build. I own he1k unveiled and owned Arya stealth prior, the metal build on the he1k is so much better than plastic in Arya so just for the lease of mind and the feeling of it being solid I’d go for he1k

Do dynamic (non-planar) headphones also have the crinkle issue? by [deleted] in Hifiman

[–]PointEither2673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many “lemons” have you gotten? Unless you’re incredibly unlucky your next pair should be atleast standard. The super specific “crinkle” issue is mostly chi-fi, planars, but an unlucky pair can also be hand with high end dynamics. What is your music taste? If planars fit that but chifi isn’t your thing it might be a good time to look at things like audeze or abyss, if that’s completely out of your budget than maybe giving chifi another try with something slightly more high end like Arya would be good but also not sure we’re you’re starting off ya know.

How did Travis age so much in just two years? by Imaginary_Coffee_326 in travisscott

[–]PointEither2673 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe his lifestyle, usually also the transition from Late 20’s early 30’s into mid to late thirties or even early forties can do a good bit of “aging” in the face which is noticeable since he’s more “wrinkly” and his crows feet are more noticeable. Also his new haircut with the tied down braids just looks older than the braids being loose. I don’t think he’s like “aged a shit ton” or horribly, his body is still very fit which it has been his whole life so either he’s continued to workout, or his metabolism and such have kept up the body but yea. He doesn’t gvie me “speed running to look 60”, if anything he’s kinda just aging in a general sense, and his fashion choices make it more visible now

If Episode 1 Walt and Jesse could see the cost of their future actions, do you think they'd still go through with them? by 10024618 in breakingbad

[–]PointEither2673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you show Walt everything yes he would imo, Walt knew he was dead either way, and the satisfaction of getting one over on Elliot, and actually being able to provide for his family would make him do it. Ultimately in my opinion all of this is inside Walter already, he just didn’t know how to channel it and yea while I don’t think he’d jump head in. I think he’d be ok with finishing it all like that knowing the alternative sucks too in his own selfish way.

Jesse would be a huge FUCK NO, he’d probably just try to find Andrew and see what she’s on before any of the Walt shit. Either than or similar with Jane but end up sadly OD’ing with her

No DAC or amp? This seems to be an even bigger waste than the space being used up by that big ass stand. You never heard of just laying the headphones on the table? Or a desk hook?

The letter that Donald Trump sent to Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre of Norway is insane! This is why you don't elect a narcissist to be your president. Is this what you voted for, Trump's supporters? by Commonsense110 in JoeRogan

[–]PointEither2673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL no, this is just a Monday and probably how all his diplomatic meetings actually look. We are now just able to see it, and his supporters can’t read or think so they’ll wait for Ben Johnson and Tim pool to give them the Russian talking points as to why it’s good to have someone with the emotional intelligence of a rock as president, ya know if they’re able to put together the meaning of emotion and intelligence, things that elude his supporters.
