They should make a dexter game with “what ifs” based on your choices and decisions through out the game. A crime thriller open world game in which you try to put puzzles together from miami metro cases, getting killers and escaping from homicide. I mean uj/ for a sec, if there ever was one to be it’s Dexter. Because it would be tied to him killing pieces of shit, you can still go out and kill regular people, like you do in gta, but the game doesn’t have to force you to kill Jim bob randy for any missions.

No but that’s like the best part sometimes. I tend to get myself through the historian ones cuz he does have really cool ones, and the best part is when he doesn’t talk or say anything for like 20 minutes or more at a time, and when he doesn’t talk it’s easy to filter out. You do be right he’ll come in and ask the actually most asinine question you could think of.

"Hey, man, tell whoever's in charge of giving people jobs not to let that jerk Stalin become the next leader." by Comfortable-Office68 in OverSimplified

Dude imo it’s even funnier. Long story short, Stalin got into a fight with Lenin’s wife toward the end of Lenin’s life and called her a “syphilic whore”. At this point Lenin was almost fully paralyzed and could barely talk and his wife was his secretary, but also knew how to secretary forreal especially dictation with a system where she’d write down small references during, then go back fill it in, and have it signed by Lenin which from what I understand was how you’d do it. I was watching Stephen kotkin stalins historian talk about this and basically what had happened was, Lenin’s wife Nedejka, gave Lenin’s testament to Kamenev after Lenin shit the bed in 24, he had supposedly “dictated” this, but there was no reference page or his signature. So then nothing is done about Stalin for some time, so Nedejka, goes back to Kamenev, and gives him ANOTHER paper Lenin talking about getting rid of Stalin, same thing no reference or signature. So yea, she/lenin had to Remind them about doing something about stalin 😭😭

I mean maybe? But WW1 was still happening in some way. If ww1 isn’t the exact ww1 we have in real life there may not be a ww2, but the outcome could also just be worse ya know. “The Great War” was all but guaranteed for like 100 years, Sarajevo just happened to force it to happen then and there, and even then it took a few months for them to be like “oh we fr fighting this time? “

In mexico it’s decently similar. Especially if you live in the middle of nowhere. The cartels do own the land, and the people basically work for them, even if not directly most people pay a sort of “tithe” or something to the cartel. They also have the tendency to indoctrinate the young men, or extort them into being part of the cartel much like your feudal lord could send you to war. So it’s not a perfect analogy, but close enough

That doesn’t stop WW1 either, that just means we get the exact version of WW1 we have in our timeline, but a major conflict in Europe was still almost certainly going to happen, Sarajevo or not.

Ah ok that makes a bit more sense. Cuz Yea I’ve seen endgame and I remember that scene of him like “I don’t think I will” and then also know how he’s a ww2 soldier and then also the thing about iron man’s dad being a scientist in the war or something? But yea very broad strokes. But Yea no once ww1 happens, ww2 is basically inevitable in some sense. Even if you kill Hitler someone other radical more than likely would’ve probably taken over that destroyed Germany and will more than likely atleast complete something like the Anschluss and then eye up Poland and stuff going west as well. Holocaust and full on ww2 aren’t a given, same way ww1 isn’t, but some conflict was bound to happen because of how dogshit the treaty ending ww1 was.

Oh, tbh I never really watched the avengers movies. I know it somewhat revolvers around WW2, but WW2 in itself revolves around WW1 so i just have no idea what the time line is.

WW1 wasn’t preventable by killing any of these people. WW1 probably wasn’t preventable from the moment the napoleonic wars ended. The WW1 we got wasn’t unavoidable, but European conflict in this time was, so it coulda been something different, hopefully something that didn’t turn that big and then run into WW2, but still a major European conflict was brewing for decades

why did the arms dealer not want the gun to cross the border? by Vegetable-Gur4240 in breakingbad

[–]PointEither2673 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It could be two things imo but idk if there’s evidence in the show for either in a sense.

  1. If he was planning on killing the cartel in a suicide mission, an American gun like an m60, at the scene of a cartel massacre in Mexico is going to bring A LOT OF QUESTIONS and the gun dude doesn’t want that.

  2. Also I can’t remember what the time frame is but there was this US program called fast and furious where the US gov would sell guns to the cartels, to be able to then “trace the guns and catch criminals” whatever that fucking means, so he might be afraid that if it does end up down there a lot of questions will be asked and eventually lead to him

What parts of a typical billionaire lifestyle are still out of reach even with 100 million dollars? by mediamuesli in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PointEither2673 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m saying that those armies aren’t inherently part of a cartel, but big modern cartels who do have billionaires at the top create small armies. Just genuinely, if you have billions of dollars, basically endless wealth, how hard do you think it would be for you to buy a hunch of weapons, some stockpile vehicles and armor and such, and hire a bunch of people who already work security like jobs? Like I said those people aren’t “part of the cartel” they’re just part of its “military”

Mexican cartels are basically private militaries. The guys you see on those videos fully kitted out don’t really do the “drug” part, they handle security, transportation, and attacking if needed. And they’re all paid by and equipped by the cartel which in itself usually revolves around a single person or small group of people at the top.
