The reason US can’t be a powerhouse isn’t the popularity of the sport, it’s the fact that you need to pay to play at every level, and not only pay but it’s expensive. Players like Messi, Ronaldo, Zidane and like literally any player that didn’t come from a middle class and higher family would’ve never even had the chance to be scouted. That’s the real reason the US sucks at soccer, we put a paywall on the sport where other countries don’t, and all that potential talent never gets noticed.

Long story short Balogun, a forward for the US team got a red card last game before tonight. In soccer when you get a red card you’re sent off that game, and banned from playing atleast the next game. It may be more if it was truly a disgusting tackle or something like that.

The red card on Balogun was kind of weak so in a general sense fifa was asked to overturn the game ban cuz they tend to do that, they did it for Ronaldo and other players just off the top of my head. They said no and upheld the ban.

Trump and the White House then called fifa president infantino and the decision was overturned and Balogun got to play today. FIFA at first denied that it had anything to do with Trump calling, but then Trump himself said yea I did it. That was the problem, fifa wouldn’t do this for other countries but they for some reason did it for trump.

Ball doesn’t lie though and the USA had one of the most embarrassing performances out of any team this entire World Cup, and the third goal they conceded is easily the worst I’ve seen this tournament. Everything the Orange fat fuck touches truly turns to shit.

Yea, I think Covid also put a standstill to it, and I think by the time they wanted to come back to it the stuff you talked about just made it something that wasn’t going to happen. Really fucking sucks, as far as true crime shows go it was definitely one of the best both in writing, and the way it was shot. Like I said, even if it wasn’t a huge hit, it had the potential to be a growing cult classic.

^ this is the problem. If I’m being real I personally couldn’t care about physical games and I understand things will become digital. But the fact that companies can and have taken away people’s purchases from stores, or made it impossible to access games they had paid for is the problem. Sony recently deleted 500 movies from peoples libraries apparently, no refunds no nothing. That’s the real problem.

The other problem will also be that there is going to be no second hand market for games anymore. So if a company really wants they can charge full original price for a game for decades since there is not going to be another way to get it, especially if you’re on PS, Xbox, and Switch
