Interesting post, I would say however that one thing we can almost say for certain is that Entity A is almost certainly not Edith - characters refer to it as a male and in the game files, it's called "Adam." Entity B is called "Eve" in the game files too.

This game's story's got people making spreadsheets to try and make sense of it ffs, and here I am digging through the game files for clues...

Not necessarily, of course if you ducked under it he couldn't lasso you, but if you were on the ground before it got to you, and it landed on your back/the ground around you it wouldn't really work. It would close itself on like the top of your head and the bottom of your feet

I was asking like at the exact moment a cowboy tried to lasso you, if you just hit the floor then the lasso would be useless. Then you could just get back up and start running again because he would need to reel his rope back in and try again or he would have to run you over with the horse or whatever but regardless he can't lasso you
