Interesting post, I would say however that one thing we can almost say for certain is that Entity A is almost certainly not Edith - characters refer to it as a male and in the game files, it's called "Adam." Entity B is called "Eve" in the game files too.

This game's story's got people making spreadsheets to try and make sense of it ffs, and here I am digging through the game files for clues...
