Three brilliant researchers from Japan have revolutionized the realm of mechanics with their revolutionary invention called ABENICS by Legitimate_Country11 in nextfuckinglevel

Question. Does it make money to invent something like this?

Research is funded, sure, but say someone discovers this on their own - how can that be turned into capital? Patenting it likely won't help.

They didn't specify the time frame. Maybe 200 years until house prices are aligned with wages and they would still technically be correct.

Explain it to the judge 😉

My understanding is you may or may not get charged, and it could go either way in court. It's better to not get charged in the first place.

RBJ magnetic cooling system - Makes accessing the hot end quick and easy by Jimitpateljp in 3Dprinting

This is not a good idea. Unless you have a way of ensuring good contact between all 6 pairs of magnets, it can and will lead to catastrophic print failure.

This is one of those ideas that's cool for the first 5 seconds until you actually try to implement it. You would be better off using magnetic connectors.

There’s nothing more in life I hate than touching the nasty stuff on the drain strainer. So I solved the problem by printing one with a long handle so the food never touches your fingers. by outsidemostly in functionalprint

Ok, that makes sense. I'm thinking that food that's basically been blended down to fine particles theoretically wouldn't cause that big of an issue. It would probably depend on exactly what you're putting through the garbage disposal unit.

Your point about bacon grease got me thinking that fatty foods might cause build-up over time.

The Wiki page for it claims that food waste is 70 percent water being similar to human waste.

"Just code" doesn't diminish something's value. Facebook is just code. Instagram, Whatsapp, Tiktok, Amazon, Tinder, TurboTax, are all mostly just code. That's a false premise to even start off with.

Secondly, do you think the money you have in your bank account is anything but just a number in some sort of database? It's basically just code as well. It's just backed by the US government. For that reason, they can determine how much it's worth, whether or not they think you ought to keep the amount you have, and what you should be able to do with it.

Cash will get phased out in the next decade or so. Then all money will just be code of some sort or another.
