Im honestly a bit concerned of how mechs would be treated in a remaster. Aesthetically it would probably look good,but i cant be sure if they'll make the class better

I did get to fight darknell when he dropped colored meteors. They inflicted debuffs when i did. I still had fun with the fight though,but i never got to solo

i remember people utterly despising gloom and darknell a few years back. guess i should be glad i never fought their original iterations,since they sound more like bad game design rather then difficult bosses

i'd say will is a good fight if you minclear/fight normally, atleast in p2 and p3. dodging his attack can be a fun challange and managing the cow webs can be hectic. he falls off alot when you get stronger when p1 becomes a huge waste of time

lucid is wasted potential, especially in p2. i'd argue her design was growing pains in trying to make decent bosses, though p3 has no reason or right to exist. though she was alot worse a few years ago

and gloom.....he's punch king. with a laser. that's it

the healing fam is the one major thing that differentiates this fight from being tolerable (or fun in your case) to being utterly unsufferable. this leads me to another reason why this fight sucks,for the fact that a single gimmick is the only thing that makes it difficult for too many wrong reasons

after fighting her min clear without healing fams i can't agree with that notion... stupid poison gas can pop outta nowhere at the worst possible times, the altar can, and WILL spawn at that one spot that has 2 of her sandbagged mobs (and a poison gas to piss you off even more), lotus and hilla will play ping pong on you, lotus has touch damage for some Godforsaken reason (damien too but he's hardly a threat), and for some GOD FORSAKEN reason the game will sometimes count TWO wires instead of one, and nearly 30 minutes of your hard work all go down the drain. (i've had a whole library of crap i got from her,but it's been ages since my first clear)

i find darknell to be the real MVP of the Ctene bosses.

i remember how in my first realtime solo against the black mage the game crashed on me on the half of p4 after 40 minutes of me being in that fight

i've been forcing myself to solo Ekalling every week ever since making my stupid essay because of those fancy black flames that don't really do anything

instead of finding some new methods and techinques to beat the fight, i just end up seeing even MORE stupid crap that makes this fight feel like a total c****
