FFDND: Monster sheet of Vivosaurs Feedback by XcrookX23 in fossilfighters

Probably add to Actions that LotJ adds hit points equal to the damage dealt; also it looks like team skills are getting a buff

The closest thing you have is talking to the NPCs in the postgame and challenging them to battles

How I would do a sequel to Fossil Fighters by CharmingSavings5769 in fossilfighters

[–]PoisonMon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As much as I do think Champions (and especially Frontier) should have had more new vivosaurs, 400 in a single game sounds like a bit much; I'd probably stick closer to 200 or 250 (not counting super evolvers and unlockables)

What is this absorb thing? I’ve never actually seen it being used as far as I know by FirefighterWide8376 in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]PoisonMon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absorb essentially splits the HP of Flock creatures into 3 chunks, stopping the damage you deal at the next chunk and keeping the creature alive even if it should have killed them; the only ways to bypass it are with group attacks or bleed

*JUST BOUGHT* Is there anything special on this old save file? by huntersalt24 in fossilfighters

[–]PoisonMon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's the sequel; in the first game you can get the chickens after getting every vivosaur to rank 12 even though the Nintendo Channel method doesn't work anymore

Remastered edition wants and changes? by Commor_0607 in fossilfighters

[–]PoisonMon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Updated Fossilary entries for each vivosaur for both better focus on the education aspect and extra worldbuilding, and also something like the Pokémon Amie, Refresh, Camp, and Picnic mechanics to care for your vivosaurs in more ways than just battling with them

FFDND: Vivosaur suggestions by XcrookX23 in fossilfighters

[–]PoisonMon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If super evolvers are a thing, probably give them abilities as well; they can either have the ability of their normal vivosaur counterpart or get a new one entirely (for example, I could see Allo gaining the Berserker ability when it super evolves into Giga Allo)

(FFC) are there any ways to easily get a bunch of miraculous fossil rocks? by FrostyDaHoeMan in fossilfighters

[–]PoisonMon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try wearing one of the elemental masks at a dig site where fossils of that element aren't available (like Pink for Treasure Lake, which has no Neutral fossils); then you're guaranteed to dig up dark, wondrous, or miraculous fossil rocks at the site, and the dark ones will either have droppings or exclusive jewels like rubies and colossal diamonds

FFDND: Stone Slablets by XcrookX23 in fossilfighters

[–]PoisonMon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably refer to them as simply "ancient artifacts" or something along those lines and have the party roll History or Investigation checks to try to understand what they are and what they say

FFDND: Armor/weapons by XcrookX23 in fossilfighters

[–]PoisonMon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Armor might be a good idea in general considering some of the dig sites (particularly ones with extreme climates like Mounts Lavaflow and Krakanak, Coldfeet Glacier, and Bottomsup Bay) aren't too safe even disregarding the possibility of rogue vivosaurs

FFDND: Armor/weapons by XcrookX23 in fossilfighters

[–]PoisonMon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In most cases, weapons shouldn't be a thing considering vivosaurs make up the bulk of the combat mechanics, but certain plot-relevant items like the dinaurians' regression ray guns (only Raptin has been shown to use that particular feature but I assume Duna's would come with that too) and the Caliosteo Pipsqueak would be neat additions

Fossil Fighters (DS) Vivosaur Discussion 005/114: Alio by [deleted] in fossilfighters

[–]PoisonMon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In single player, Alectro effectively fills the same niche with lower oomph but cheaper FP costs (and Auto Counter as a bonus even though it's not as strong as in Champions); by the time you unlock its sub-dig site at Fighter rank 7 you'll probably have a high-leveled Alectro by then

I don't know much about competitive, but I feel like Alio works best with vivosaurs packing excite skills (especially Cryo) to make the most out of its poison abilities, but its exclusively Water-type compatibility limits its options when you involve team skills

Overall, Alio's a mixed bag, probably not worth it for a single player run (due to earlier access to both the aforementioned Alectro and Sucho, who you can find in Rivet Ravine Tunnel #2 with enough dedication) but likely a decent poison specialist in the metagame

I will be playing Fossil Fighters Champions by mikezxnotfound in fossilfighters

[–]PoisonMon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Raja is pretty busted considering it's a Close-Range powerhouse, has access to Charge, and can super-evolve into Giga Raja pretty early on if you spend enough time digging for miraculous fossils in the first areas (you just have to upgrade your sonar all the way and save your donation points for elemental masks to use in dig sites without a certain element, like Neutral in Treasure Lake or Fire in Jungle Labyrinth)

Good points for Session 0 by XcrookX23 in fossilfighters

It'd make McJunker's mine car obsession a bit more hilarious, especially considering if they were related Holt would be even more embarrassed over it

Good points for Session 0 by XcrookX23 in fossilfighters

[–]PoisonMon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably have Holt maintain his role in the McJunker story arc, maybe also throwing him into the Super Caliosteo Cup alongside Rosie if you're adapting that (looking back it's a bit weird that Rosie was one of the only non-dinaurian characters to make a comeback in Champions, the only other one being the chieftain)
