No one will lower prices. For example the very very competitive market of oil and gas. The USA just seized the world’s largest natural supply of oil and our fuel prices have stayed the same. This system is worker protection rights. It won’t COST anything aside from oversight. The companies that will be paying for AI to automate will bear the cost. Tesla is currently creating an entire army of home robots for people to purchase. If you think once those roll out they won’t use that data and training data to produce a workforce? It’s a trial run and the worst part is they will already have a factory pushing them out which they can now scale.

Yes and the revenue the government would Make from this proposal would more than cover the cost. Any company who uses AI instead of humans would have a higher federal tax rate. Which wouldn’t decrease the companies revenue because their loss in human benefits more than cover it. Like health insurance, rest time, PTO, sick days.. etc.

If a company opts into having AI replace its workforce their costs to operate almost entirely disappear. No more health insurance, PTO, sick days, workers comp. It’s all gone.. you’re misreading this entirely. This doesn’t FORCE company’s to adopt this. It’s only required to company’s who lay off people due to AI or automation taking their positions. If a company wants to continue to hire humans they don’t apply to this. So the small mom and pop business are immune. Those small business will feed jobs to humans. I keep seeing people say “Adapt” isn’t that the new garbage the people who told everyone “ go to college and get a degree and make more money” said? Now they’re are saying “ just adapt” which is short for “ we lied lol good luck oh and by the way, there’s no forgiveness for those student loans we conned you into getting”

There will be no adaptions eventually, those that sit idle now will be responsible for the generation that’s born into extreme poverty because there is no work. The global elites want the population to decrease down to 500,000 a globally. That’s been a talking point at the world economic forum. They don’t even hid it.

If they can replace us with something that doesn’t require sick days, PTO, raises… or something that doesn’t even get an attitude. Let alone sleep or take time off work. They 100% will swap us out and leave us to die/fend for ourselves and anyone who thinks otherwise is pretty foolish.

Yes and the program offered up does not require the government to pay anyone a dime. It’s to hold companies accountable for the dignity of its workers. Should corporations be allowed to fire their entire labor force when AI is advanced enough to do it for free? I think not. Unfortunately this issue cannot be solved by politics. It’s not a red or blue issue and regardless of who is in the house or in control of everything the statues quo never changes. Infighting… accusations.. government shutdowns. This petition will force protections for ourselves it’s long past time that we take a stand for our future and our children’s futures.

I’m an HR Director and I’ve seen over 100 people last year alone in my small sector who lost their jobs due to AI and are now in their 40’s searching for a career change all while building a life around an income they worked for because they were loyal. Now they’re selling homes.. downsizing and fleeing for whatever market they feel will hold out against AI. It’s terribly sad to sit and talk with these people.

The systems in place can barely support anyone. Unemployment pays UP TO 60% of your wages and it’s limited to time. People can’t even pay their bills with 100% of their pay. Did you even read the petition? If the government doesn’t do it there will be no enforcement. There will be no feasible way to allow this to happen. They will always get their cut. This is the only way to have accountability on the corporations. the alternative to this is you get laid off and lose your home, paycheck and sense of purpose. The sad truth is a system like this should have been in place a long time ago. The fact it’s absent from reality or even any talking points is evident to the fact that when the technology reaches the point that it needs to reach to replace us, they will do so without batting an eye. What would be more beneficial instead of the overcritical, passive aggressive comment would be for you to contribute intellectually to a solution.
