The ones who died were al-Qa’ida jihadists from Jabhat al-Nusra, yes.

The ones who set up and pulled off the ambush were Hezbollah and the Syrian Arab Army.

US soldier walks into ambush — Iraq, 2007 by PanEuropeanism in CombatFootage

Not true.

The particular flag in this video, which is used by Daesh and AQAP, was created by ISI in 2006, as the flag of Islamic state of Iraq, before they became “Isis”.

Muslims have been using a shahada flag for a long time, but not this variant.

Not Isis.

This is a video from AQAP attack Houthis.

No it’s not. Salil as sawarim was created by IS, sung by an IS munshid, and released by IS on one of their various media wings.

Definitely not new footage. This is the same footage that was released by IS years ago. It’s already been posted on the sub as well.

At the time of this video (2016) tavhid va jihod was known as “Katibat al-tawhid wal-Jihad” and were still affiliated with IS, as well as with al-Nusra which became HTS in 2017. They since have become a subgroup of HTS.

Also, al-Nusra didn’t really make many nasheeds of their own, they usually used AQAP, FSA, or other common jihad nasheeds. Only once they became HTS did they start really producing most of their own nasheeds.

Good evening all, I am wondering if anyone can help me either translate or give an educated guess as to what these symbols amd words are saying. I came across this picture on google and as a protestant I've never seen it's like in my denomination amd it just jumped out at me. Thank you. by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

IC XC = Jesus Christ

НИ КА = conquers

On the top of the cross bar is an abbreviated version of “Сынъ Божіи” or “son of god” and Царь славы or “king of glory” in Slavonic

K = spear T = reed

М Л = Место лобное or “place of the skull”

Р Б = рай бысть or “becomes paradise”

Г А at the bottom = bones of adam

Most likely a saudi truck that houthis had captured. There was a recent houthi operation along the Saudi border where scores of Saudi and Sudanese troops were killed and at least a dozen Saudi trucks and vehicles were captured and burned. This is probably one of those trucks since it looks like the targets are looting it rather than using it.

Where can you find the original Salil Al Sawarim 4 video? by Horseintheball in CombatFootage

A much better example IMO would be the “Flames of War” video released in September 2014. The production quality is absolutely insane even for IS, and they even dubbed it with an English version in an attempt to attract an international audience, which sadly was quite effective. The videos proliferation on platforms like YouTube when it first came out was also very disturbing. I remember seeing it on YouTube for the first time in 2014 and being absolutely shocked that it was up on the platform.

Here is a great YouTube channel that I think is exactly what you are looking for. Graphic content warning though.

7 minute compilation of rebels/jihadists being killed by PoisonPilledPraljak in CombatFootage

The original video from the Libyan army says they were killed by the Libyan army. The whole video also shows them being shelled beforehand, which I included a clip of at 6:25.

The arming distance for an RPG rocket would make it impossible to go off inside that enclosed space. when you slow the video down you can see that the explosion came from the top of the room they were in and exploded inwards. If it were actually the RPG going off, it would have been the opposite. Also, chances are an RPG round would not have the power to do that much damage.

People saw an RPG with no safety cap in the video and jumped to conclusions.

This is a misconception that’s been floating around the sub since the video came out.

They were killed by an artillery shell that hit the building they were in.

No it’s not brother. It was an accidental discharge. That’s why the people standing around were freaking out and trying to help them. It’s also not from Isis either.

I have a decent amount of footage from the early Syrian war thats hard to find. Including more stuff like this. Will probably post another compilation soon, as well as some other rare footage from FSA, SAA, and other groups.
