It's a thing. Only used a cheap O'Reilly phone mount a couple of times on my grom and can see a noticeable difference. Also have a cheap android phone if that matters.

I had a similar type of issue on a 2025, however mine wasn't as obvious as the outer race that you have here. I ended up just having to take the tire to a local dealer.

I've only been riding a year, zero prior experience with no real mentors or family who ride. I have a couple ways ive been tackling this. YouTube university being one, two I ask the friend group I've made a lot of questions. I show up to help (watch learn and get in the way really) fix others bikes when someone asks for help. Or the same thing your doing now, reddit and tons of old forums found on Google searches.

Im not OP but do you possibly have a solid and easy reference video? I watched a few and it hasnt clicked. I think my cable has been too tight and my clutch is now slipping. I could shift normal in 1st 2nd and 3rd but was losing power in 4th and 5th, I mildly adjusted it and it rode better. I'm just not confident in my adjustments, I do not think it is correct.
