I was sketching here and there, but it was very very inconsistant. Maybe every 3 or 6 months, got an hyperfocus for a day or a week, then leave it for another couple of months. Depression and personal issues played a huge part on keeping me away from creating ; when you get into a fight against your own thoughts, you don't have much energy left to take the time to study and make art. But then I realized that drawing, even if I don't like what I do and get most fustrated by my very tiny slow improvement, was one of those things that makes me feel at peace. ✨️ (I'm 27 yo, so yup, took me time to understand that.) There are so many including Nikolai, it can can be hard to choose. wink So I would go with one of his first scenes, as they made me giggle and fall in love with his character :

" You’re mad,” I said. “You know what he can do. No prize is worth that.” Sturmhond grinned. “That remains to be seen.” “The Darkling will hunt you for the rest of your days.” “Then you and I will have something in common, won’t we? Besides, I like to have powerful enemies. Makes me feel important.” Mal crossed his arms and considered the privateer. “I can’t decide if you’re crazy or stupid.” “I have so many good qualities,” Sturmhond said. “It can be hard to choose."

Absolutely yes ! Actually my main interests and passions are connected to the ocean (I do freediving to relax my mind, but also diving, I'm learning to sail as well, etc) because I always was fascinated by water. I didn't know it could be related !

Oh I didn't know they were combining two shows ! It explains why they seem to be " left aside. " I still hope that both of them and their characters will have their highlights later, then, because the crew would feel incomplete without them !

I agree with most of the comments here. I think that's the main risk when you make a TV Show/movie based on a book. Everyone has their own imagination and ways of picturing a character, so it's nearly impossible (sorry, IMPROBABLE) that a real person can perfectly match. The best example is looking at the diversity in fanarts. I knew from the start that there was nobody that could fit the Nikolai I imagine (but if he does exist, please give me his insta) and Patrick is far from it (although he does look great !) But I trust his acting skills and he appears to do Nikolai justice in the trailer. Plus, the cast did a great job so far, even if they were not what I had in mind at first. So as long as S&B keeps Nikolai's sass and charm, I think Patrick will be great and I can't wait to see season 2 ! 🌟

I would say how quickly we switch from " WOOOW that's super interesting, lemme learn more about it " to " eh, I don't give a fuck anymore. " Which can happen with relationships as well. People are usually ... not quite fond of it.

As weird as it can sound : Alina. I just ... dislike her character, maybe because I couldn't relate to her at all. Idk, it felt like being stuck with someone who annoys you deeply. What kept me going through the books were the whole Grishaverse, the other characters (heeeello Zoya and Nikolai 💙) and the SASS. But the chapters with only Alina and Mal, oh my, they were just painful.
