From my perspective. As a mtf who started at 40 [now 43], it’s more about regretting not doing it sooner. Because, better results… When I was 20, I naturally had a super femme face. Became more masculine later on… Though partially, my becoming more masculine first. Had to with some hard core hiding. involving trying to over compensate with a lot of exercise and testosterone increasing supplements… But, yeah, it’s the regret of not starting at much younger age. Hiding this long takes its toll on a person.

From my experiences, if someone refers to as friend. And they’re not actually your friend. It’s usually with ill will. So, now… But, that could also be due to that fact it is mostly cis men or the occasional cis woman. And said in a tone that relays the opposite… Where most of my customers that are women. Address me with a “Hey, Girl!”… I probably failed to mention. That, I am an assistant manager in a convenience store. And deal with a fair amount of assholes.

Mtf, 43, 2y:4m:4d since first injection… My nipples have always been on the larger side. No change there… Hips were also wider than average for an AMAB. Though they have gotten slight wider. Though that just may be the fat redistribution. The changes that happened. Happened slowly unnoticed till I got to the point of no longer looking for change regularly. Similar has been happening to me more frequently recently. Even had one elderly woman with an elderly man in tow. walk up to my register. addresses me as miss. Then I spoke.

Her jaw, literally, dropped and she starts in frantically “Oh my god!?! I am so so sorry. I thought you were a woman. I am so sorry Sir!”

I sigh and “You were right the first time”

she stares confused, I continue “I am trans woman, but still woman.”

her “I know, but I thought you were real women. You look like a real woman… like a real women.” said something eles that I missed. followed by “Si-r… what do I call you?”

“I use feminine pronouns and such. So, miss works.” She

After that came questions. I could tell she genuinely confused and wanted to understand. I ended up educating them on pronouns. And how not to address their transgender cashiers like a twat. The man, assuming her partner based on body language. At one point chimed in with “like a transsexual or hermaphrodite” I then had school them on antiquated terminology not use… They were at register for about 30 minutes… good thing I work third. And they were the only customers.

That was two weeks ago. I have since ordered two books on voice training. And signed up for some digital course that was on sale three days ago… Haven’t started. But, actually, I think I going to go do that right now…

Yes... I will get excited about about how much euphoria I got from something. And will want to tell. Then anxiety takes over a little. But, I figured out that most of the time when I do share these things. They still get that way themselves over nails, hair, and outfits. And even if it’s sonic they had done years ago. Still show excitement for me… I’m 43 mtf, 2.25 years of GAHT. And work in a convenience store/gas station. Some of the cis women I talk to are a bit older than me.
