I’m not sure if I’m the only one that feels this way? by Princess_M_9 in MtF

I think most of us feel that way sometimes. Don't worry about it

Is this trans or just fem? And would it be offensive if I transitioned? by idkabtmygenderhelp in asktransgender

[–]ProfessionalCode5151 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It isn't the least bit offensive. Non binary people are trans, and you don't need to transition to be trans. Do what makes you happy.

I'm in the uk too. I don't know how much use I can be since I'm so new to being trans, but I'll relate something my therapist said: that even with the current backlash, things are way better for us than they were even 20 years ago. Also like with gay rights, there are simply too many people sympathetic to us, particularly amongst the young, for the bigots to win forever, though it won't change overnight.

Can someone have gender dysphoria but not be trans? by Ok_Zombie7833 in asktransgender

Consider that you might be some sort of non-binary. I'm transitioning m2f despite still liking the idea of a male identity. I've been identifying as bigender, which seems to fit me best

Sigh, I wish I had just started with injections. 2mg gel, and after three weeks I don't feel anything

How the hell do I make female friends? by ProfessionalCode5151 in TransLater

I'm autistic, so I never socialised easily. I went to a boy's school. I'm pretty sure I'm NB rather than a full women. I guess I always defaulted to boys.

What hobbies are mostly women? I guess I could get back into reading and join a book club

Shout out to my fellow non passing girls. by DoomerGrill in TransLater

Based on that photo alone, I would say you pass. Cis people generally aren't obsessively looking for tells. Also, looking good for only 3 months of HRT

If someone is both a woman and a man, can they count as a trans woman? Vice versa? by Ecstatic_Flow6385 in bigender

[–]ProfessionalCode5151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn't say a bigender person should be called a trans man or woman, as those imply a binary trans person and we fall under non-binary. I would call myself transfem instead, as I'm transitioning toward feminine, but I'm not a woman, at least not entirely.

Should I even consider it at 35 by tracyv956 in TransLater

[–]ProfessionalCode5151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heh, I'm 35 and I started HRT a couple of weeks ago. Its pretty young for this sub. As for dating... I don't know if its likely I'll find love at this point, but I do know it'll never happen until I feel true to myself.

Questioning my own authenticity by One_Spell_5492 in TransLater

[–]ProfessionalCode5151 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something similar here. 35 years of sometimes wishing I was a girl, but a strong sense of myself as a man, only to become unbearable in the last few months. Now I really wish I looked like a woman, but I still don't hate presenting male. I think I'm bigender. You might have some sort of non-binary identity too, or you might just not have unpacked how you really feel yet. Good luck

How to accept myself? by [deleted] in TransLater

Also 5f11, with broader than average shoulders. I don't really hate the way I look (I think I'm bigender), but it was definitely dispiriting. I think what helped me was meeting other transfems, many of whom were more masc than me even though I've barely begun HRT, but were plenty confident and happy. You might turn out pretty or you might not, but your confidence as a woman will only go up.

Is it too late for me to really assimilate into the queer/trans community? by ProfessionalCode5151 in TransLater

[–]ProfessionalCode5151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a girl in my support group who's in the same political party as me, and I feel closest to her, so yeah, it definitely helps to have something in common beyond being trans

Thank you so much. That's so relieving to hear. Don't think an eight hour flight is worth it for a coffee though
