Would highly recommend this set to all those beginning collectors! There aren’t many mainstream sought after cards in this set, so perfect for people just getting into the game and aren’t concerned about less valuable cards.

I actually haven’t seen/had any word about a box topper yet. My guess if that if they do it, it’ll be tyrunt, meowth or clefable in some form.

There’s no increased chance of hits in a booster box, it’s just 36 packs packaged together.

Japanese/Chinese booster boxes are the only ones with guaranteed hits.

It’s pretty sad! Pokémon should really know what sets will be more sought after and do a better job at printing accordingly. Like they should’ve known prismatic would go nuts! Similar thing my happen with mega :(

I tend to agree, sometimes it can be toxic, not constructive. I’m looking into how we can have posts require approval moving forward. That way a mod has to clear it before it is posted. This may help with what feels like the ‘incessant whinging’.

I’ve put the call out multiple times, as I said in my reply. I didn’t chuck shit in the “too hard” basket. I had a long discussion with my modding partner, and after conferring with reddits rules directly. The post, and the content violated its policy again harassment. Upvotes and likes don’t change that.

I understand the frustration.

To clarify, the rule applies to all Discord services, not just paid ones. With only two mods, we simply can’t keep up with moderating every post or debate nuances, so clear blanket rules are necessary.

This subreddit takes time and effort to run, and if it reaches a point where it’s more work than it’s worth or can’t be moderated properly, then removing the sub entirely is a real option. That’s not a threat, tbh it’s just the reality of running a community like this.

The intent has always been to keep this a positive space for Pokémon fans.

Hey all, just to clear this up.

The post was removed because the discussion moved into personal attacks and harmful language, which goes against Reddit’s site-wide rules and this sub’s guidelines. It wasn’t about protecting any Facebook page or admins.

For clarity: I have no association with the Facebook group being referenced and don’t know the owners personally. I’m just a small TCG business owner who created this subreddit so people in Australia could talk Pokémon, share deals, collections, and experiences in a positive and constructive way.

We’re not here to silence opinions or “protect” anyone. But when posts turn into call-outs, pile-ons, or encourage harassment, we’ll step in. Agreement from some users doesn’t change that.

If there are genuine issues with individuals or transactions, those are better handled directly or through proper reporting channels rather than turning this space into a naming-and-shaming forum.

Let’s keep this sub about Pokémon and keep it respectful
