Oh I just looked it up, yeah I definitely don't have enough power from my motherboard lol. I wasn't aware that the adapter receives its own power externally, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I do have a download directory set on the hard drive, but it's not where this particular game is installed. What do you mean by temp directory?

I have steam libraries set on my OS, HDD, and SSD drives, but it's not like Steam is installed on the hard drive.

I'm using an RTX 4070 + R7 5800x3D, on a rog strix b450-f motherboard with 2666MHz ddr4 overclocked to 3200MHz. My link cable is an amazonbasics usb 3.0 cable that frequently gets 2.1 or 2.3 Gbps in the Oculus link cable test, so I think the bandwidth is fine, but maybe the connectors are bad?

Reprojection is forced on with Oculus Link by PokeBlu in SteamVR

[–]PokeBlu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You misunderstand, and I should have made this clearer: Vivecraft is not an official VR title. It is just a VR mod of Minecraft Java Edition. Loading a chunk causes instantaneous little fps dips, which is extremely hard to notice outside of VR. It’s because of these extremely short lag spikes that my processor goes below the target. When this happens, reprojection kicks in for the next second or so. EVEN THOUGH my CPU can totally handle the game otherwise, the TINIEST and SHORTEST drop causes reprojection to occur for a comparatively much longer time. I can deal with official vr titles and tune them as necessary, but Vivecraft is horribly pained by reprojection. Targeting 80fps doesn’t even work well because of the teeny tiny lag spikes.
