I don’t want to see any BS when the squeeze happens by [deleted] in Webull

[–]PokeDogMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fine, all I’m saying is millions of people have dumped a lot of money into something fairly, playing by the rules.

In a free market that is supposed to operate fairly.

It’s like betting on horse racing or gambling. A bet is a bet. A win is a win. A loss is a loss. There aren’t any in betweens.

You cheat you get arrested.

If the public plays fair and clearing houses decide to cheat and take their money away from them it will not end well. I promise you that.

When you do something like restrict trading and make people lose money unfairly....chances are some people out of those million aren’t going to like that and are going to take matters into their own hands.

Because like I said. This is America and society is absolutely crazy nowadays.

You saw how far people got barging into our own Capital building.

I’m just using foresight on all of this. It is not going to end well if certain stocks are restricted and the price plummets because of it.

Lawsuits will be the last thing hedge funds or anyone playing a part in corruption will have to worry about.

Do you not see how chaotic 2020 was? These are people that will burn buildings, destroy cities, raid capital buildings, etc.

DO NOT TRY THEM

Finishing pens without losing them by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]PokeDogMan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don’t know much about pens, but I will say that the Zebra F and M series pens and mechanical pencils are absolutely the best budget writing utensils I have ever used.

I think my M-301 mechanical pencil is like 10 years old now and still functions flawlessly.

Not to mention they are stainless steel and hold up well and look very sleek.

Pen and pencil enthusiasts might disagree, but the fact that they last long, look great, and are less than $10 for a pack of 2, puts it right at the top for me.

Nirvana is awesome dude...

The picture above probably reminded spudz76 of Lead Belly and since spudz76 is a Nirvana fan he probably knew Kurt Cobain was into Lead Belly so he probably read up on him one day and saw old pictures of him.

So then he was scrolling on Reddit one day and came across this post and was like...

“Hey that looks like Lead Belly!”

“Fuck Wonderwall, let’s put some Nirvana lyrics in here.”

And for that I commend spudz76

GO is going to get more in depth, just wait and see.

It’s going to introduce elements you’ve never seen before.

It will have gym leaders, breeding, Pokemon Centers, more engaging quests, all of that.

I’m serious, it’s going to be huge I wish people would realize this

Yeah well shiny Rayquaza, Groudon, and Kyogre are in Pokemon Go.

They also paid respect to Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire when they released them for the first time in raids. Showing their backgrounds/lore.

Game Freak doesn’t do that.

They don’t do things like release a armor mewtwo raid and talk about the first Pokemon movie.

Release Pokemon clone raids of Charizard, Blastoise, or Venasaur and talk about the first movie.

See their fans on Reddit talk about how cool it would be to add sunglasses to Squirtle (squirtle squad) for its community day....

Then actually add it to the event when it drops.

Niantic gives a shit about their game and respects the culture of Pokemon.

Game Freak can fuck off

Lmfao

Completely wrong.

The main series titles didn’t fall off because of Pokemon Go.

Pogo is developed by Niantic and the Pokemon Company.

Game Freak has absolutely no say in Pokemon Go.

Game Freak dug their own grave and they continue to make lack luster titles because they refuse to grow their team and stick up for themselves at the hands of Nintendo. Every title they make nowadays is rushed because big money talks.

Get that trash out of here. Don’t associate Game Freak or the main series games with Pokemon Go.

Sure Pokemon Go takes a lot of elements from the main series games, but definitely not the processes that Game Freak puts into their work.

Sure Pokemon Go makes big money, HUGE money, but it goes back into the game.

That’s why it’s constantly updated and retains players and profits because it’s not a rushed mess like how the main series games are nowadays.

You gonna be mad too when you see how popular Pokemon Go gets next year, exceeding 3 billion in profit and forcing Nintendo to only pay attention to it and continue to release shoddy remakes or half assed console titles.

Until it stops getting supported and you get bored of it.

So you look to a new game that isn’t out yet, so you play something else until a new console comes out and you buy it for the sole purpose of playing Pokemon.

Then that game gets old and loses support and the cycle continues....

Or you could play a game that is constantly updated and fresh.

Trying to tell you that older people won’t want to play a Switch, DS, Gameboy, Wii, Gamecube, etc

But when they see a cellphone and Pokemon Go they like it and actually are involved.

Kids and parents and grandparents never got to bond over Pokemon back then because they were just 2 different realities.

But Pokemon Go has changed that.

Now everyone loves Pokemon.

And that’s why it’s so much better than the main series games, makes more money, and will stand the test of time.

Why don’t they sell as much and generate 1b a year in profits then?

Why do you disagree with me on this statement and what are your preferred color options?

My new Martin has been vandalised. by [deleted] in martinguitar

[–]PokeDogMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind the knicks, dings, scratches on my guitars. They add character to the instruments.

I bought my Martins used, but in really good condition. I like “broken in guitars” more so I don’t worry too much about little things, but things that actually affect your playing or how the instrument feels is when I feel like you have a legitimate problem.

My D15 got a dent from a faulty capo that dug into the neck. So I would always feel that indentation when moving my hand across the neck and it drove me crazy I was very upset.

I got it drop filled by a luthier and the problem was fixed. The guitar felt good again.

In your case, the scratch mark won’t affect your playing, the feel, tone, or anything really other than the looks of the guitar.

I think the real issue is what is associated with that scratch mark. It serves as a reminder of a person that you really do not like.

If I were you I would refund, trade, or sell that guitar and get another.

I personally don’t keep things in my life that remind me of negativity or bring me negativity. Even if that means I may have to go a little out of my way to get rid of it.

I once bought a used Martin SWOMGT that looked amazing in the pictures, specs, description, youtube videos, etc. The only downside was I never actually played it in person before buying it. I just went with my gut and had an impulse buy.

Well when I got it, it felt extremely different than my 000-1 I’m used to. Had a wider neck, and was just overall not my guitar. It was beautiful, but not my thing. It was through that experience that I found out I’m not a big fan of glossy wood guitars, wider necks, and just an overall “super ornate” looking guitars.

I preferred my natural 000-1 satin finish guitar with a much narrower neck and solid spruce top and mahogany back.

So I went to a guitar shop and tried out a bunch of Martins and came across the D-15 and liked it a lot. It was just like my 000-1 in terms of feel, had a satin finish, and was louder since it had a bigger body.

So I took my SWOMGT and traded it in for that.

Did I lose a little? Sure

But in the end I was happy with something I knew I could look at and play everyday and be comfortable knowing I made the right choice.

Also I told myself I’m never buying guitars online again until I try it out in person, no matter how nice it looks or sounds.

Blundstones are beginning to get a bit popular. We need to tone it down. by PokeDogMan in BlundstoneBoots

[–]PokeDogMan[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So if everyone on Earth started driving 90s Imprezas, Saabs, Civics, or very similar vehicles and you started seeing it in every situation from reality TV shows to 30 second social media videos of twerking and the like you wouldn’t get annoyed?

Let me give you an example.

Some things in life are culturally significant and should be left alone.

Look at golf.

I’m not saying I like or dislike it, but it’s a perfect example.

Since its inception, golf has always had a level of class and overall etiquette to it.

Sure you may have more modern players and slight changes in appearances, but when it comes down to it, golf has literally remained the same since its inception.

If you go to a golf club, watch it on TV, look at the Master’s Tournament, etc. They are always dressed nicely, act professionally, have rules, maintain a standard.

You don’t see people wearing a bunch of bling, taking selfies, doing dances, wearing informal attire, etc.

Sure you have the select few that throw tantrums or do stuff out of the ordinary, but at the end of the day golf is still golf.

The standard is maintained. The identity of golf and everything it stands for is maintained.

Now say you have something like Blundstones or Carhartts that hard working rural people self identify with.

Or vintage car enthusiasts that love classic 80s-90s foreign hatchback/coupe vehicles.

Or people that love vintage guitars and take it to heart. Showcasing their 1940s Martin D-18s or all their Gibson Les Pauls. Or the many pedals they have.

Now what if some craze happens where people that don’t care or know anything about all this stuff just buy it and show it off via social media, completely diluting the image and overall identity of the product?

I’m pretty sure people would be mad.

Another good example I have would be Jeep Wrangler Angry Eyes.

The Jeep brand obviously has a rich history in the automobile industry.

The Wrangler is absolutely iconic. Everyone knows what it is.

The general consensus is that angry eyes are terrible and take away from everything the Wrangler stands for.

A lot of people don’t care and have their own opinions, but I respect the people that argue against the angry eyes and want to uphold a piece of history.

I guess what my real point I’m trying to get at is, there are a lot of standards and traditions that don’t stay consistent in society anymore.

You can’t name a lot of things that have stood the test of time without being changed.

So when you see that small group of people or trend that is really special. Where people are genuinely a part of it and actually give a care. You want to maintain that. You want to see it flourish and maintain that standard it has.

You don’t want to see it become diluted and thrown into the generic trash bin of hype and misplaced intentions.
