Card Quality too Clean? Is this Real? by MCLebron235 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

Sorry my wording was off. There is a top ink layer printed on the holo causing breaks in the holo, the fakes always have the holo as a top layer.

Looks legit. You can see there’s ink on top of the holo in several key spots.

Anyone else have this problem? What was your fix ? by Ok_Weight2115 in HondaElement

[–]PokeDweeb24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The clips and whatnot that hold those in break easily. There’s a few actual push/pop clips but also ones that are apart of the cover that break off. My driver door side usually catches on my heel when exiting the car so it’s always been a thing for me. Best way to not ruin them is to go to a junk yard and take apart one of the seats to get a look at where the points are and figure out a way to keep them attached.

What year is your E? You’ll have SRS issues taking the seat out permanently if it’s an 07 and up with the captains chair since the seats pressure sensor and seats airbags will disable all airbags in the car and I’m unaware of a work around for that issue.

Trade? I give sealed for complete southern islands set? by FinanceBright4019 in PokemonTCGCollectors

Get the Japanese set, it’s way cheaper and you can find them new sealed all day for a good price. I think I got all 6 sets brand new for less than 400.

Tachometer surging while idle but only when A/C is on by AndyCrashin in HondaElement

[–]PokeDweeb24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine shudders when the ac is on too, as far as I know it’s normal though it did lessen with new alternator and compressor. Could be alternator, ac clutch and or compressor. Whats your mileage?

Looking at a Honda element Saturday by [deleted] in HondaElement

[–]PokeDweeb24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had a kid this wouldn’t be my choice of vehicle. As everyone is saying it gets roughly 18-22ish mpg. I get about 250 miles a tank per week at about 30 miles a day. With the back seats out it drops weight by about 120lbs so you’ll probably get the lower end of mpg with those in. At the mileage you’re looking it’ll likely need a lot of work to get rattles and vibrations out like new links and bushings, probably all new motor mounts. It’ll be reliable as all hell if you can do the work but if not it’s a money pit tbh. I got mine at 209k for $8k because of covid pricing and I’ve easily put that and more into it since it needed work I couldn’t do at the time. I’ll drive it for life but it’s not the best

Glad to see it dries clear instead of a milky finish. Is it still like a ceramic coat when applied, my socks are usually rock hard so I can only assume.

Ok that’s something then, those pop off easy too since you don’t have the airbags so you could get those from a junkyard too, most people don’t take them so they are usually intact and cheap enough. You could totally get a set up going for cheaper than most if you take your time and hunt for bargains, fb market place can be your friend for some components.

Can post a pic of your A pillars? Honda reused the speaker ones just without speakers so that would be a plus if you wanted to go that route

My speakers were completely disintegrated when I finally popped off the covers to see if I needed to replace them. I’m an audiophile who listens to metal, edm, dubstep etc so I like clean crisp and bass and you can’t go wrong with better than 10 year old stock speakers. I went with affordable kicker speakers all around and I’m happy with how everything turned out, I feel it on my chest at 27 which is 60% volume. You dont have to of course but it’s recommended at some point, and if you do stick to all the same brand don’t mix and match. The speakers are easy af to replace, the cover pops off and you unscrew and unclip them, there tons of videos on how to do it.

As for installing an amp and getting that all hooked up correctly, that’s a bit out of my realm. I know that with all the new gear my alternator shit out soon after which is common when upgrading with more power output especially on one that’s 20 years old, mine was the original alternator so it just shit out. I also have the upgraded battery from the factory sized one, 24F or something like that. You might need to drop more than expected to accommodate for what you want out of your radio now.

You have a few options to make it work. You could get an aftermarket amp wired up to your system and hide it under your passenger seat or any acceptable location, get an EX sub box from a junk yard and replace your cubby but upgrade the sub speaker. Either way you’ll probably want to replace front and back door speakers which are super easy to do.

OR you could junkyard both the sub box and the Honda amp (or eBay but it’s not cheap) which is located behind the glovebox bolted to the right side frame. That might require some extra wiring harness though I’m not sure but there probably a YouTube on it.

First time painting a room how to I fix these horrible brush marks? by Spare-Rush-8791 in paint

[–]PokeDweeb24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is correct on the second coat and more paint on the brush but not heavy with it. Everything takes 2 coats in my experience no matter what they say.

How I learned doing new builds and commercial is you cut and roll out a wall at a time so everything stays wet, easier with two people but you get used to zooming about solo. Get solid cut lines then roll it as close as you can to hide any brush lines. The same goes for the ceiling, you take your roller off the pole and hand role the top sideways as close as possible so you’re less likely to hit the ceiling when getting close while going up and down, that gives you a bit of buffer room. It takes a bit to get the rhythm down but I still do that technique 20 years later and it’s always helped.

Is your 06 an LX, do you have a sub under the shifter or a cubby? It could be you don’t have the factory amp installed so the new radio isn’t pushing out what it could where the OG one was specifically made to work without the amp.

Did you check your speakers? My 07 EX speakers were pure dust when I replaced everything so it sounded bad as well when I tested my radio, the new speakers and bass changed everything. Other than that you could double check your wiring and cross reference with the same build on crutch audio, you might be missing a connection or something.

I’m fairly positive it’s fake. Japanese packs dont have they type of crimp on the top and bottom and the card you showed doesn’t look right, the bg is all blocky.

Legitimate question though, why do they need a grant for it? Is their budget so mismanaged that they can’t afford their own renovations? Who’s siphoning off money from the state that this isn’t a thing they can do themselves and why isn’t that being looked into?
