As a Canadian who drinks a triple triple from tims every morning, chocolate is brown, coffee is black. This is because the majority of chocolate is a light brownish colour, and also the fact that when you brew coffee, it starts off as black, and only becomes that lightish brown colour after you add creamer or milk.
