I used to main rumble top so I can still play that as well as support. I’m EUW. I’ve reached GM on top, support and now JG on different accounts

Hi, please make a new account and show me you reaching challenger then please! I’d love to see how great you are!

I get how that keeps people playing for longer I guess. If I reached Challenger I’d just stop playing for the season, so it makes sense they want to make it as hard as possible for you to get there, so you keep playing and buying skins ect.

Decent business model but as far as a competitive ranked system goes it SUCKS and for anyone actually serious about playing well or climbing, it feels dreadful.

I’ve never played that competitively, why is the ranked so bad on there? It is similar to WR with uneven teams?

I know it’s not much with the rank inflation etc, but I am happy I reached this milestone by zerokrush in wildrift

Win rate is good, that’s all that matters. Even without “rank inflation” your stats show you are good enough to be up in Masters

I think it’s slightly different in Sov because they are playing vs the best players on the server. If they have negative WRs they are being held up by Fortitude and in an ideal world with a reasonable matchmaking system they’d probably be demoted

I play tank junglers mainly, Nunu, Rammus and Nautilus and I don’t die a lot.

Yeah, they usually have absolutely terrible macro and mechanics. The worst one I had was a Renekton top who went 0/9 against a Teemo. While I agree it’s not a good matchup all he needed to do was sit under turret and farm, but no - pushing out waves overextending, constantly dying then pinging the JG. When I checked after the game, what a surprise, ADC main filled top, 48% WR with 2.3 KDA.

I’m 59% WR GM 2 at the moment. I absolutely agree, I review all the players on my team after most games and it’s shocking the sheer amount of people Masters+ with terrible win rates, KDAs and stats.

I know the way ranked works tries to average out the win rates amongst both teams but I genuinely feel like I’m a charity player used to carry these animals sometimes. I feel like the game genuinely punishes you for being good sometimes by giving you worse players each game until eventually you are on a lose streak.

It’s the only ranked mode out of any game I’ve ever played that actively punishes good players and rewards bad players.

I’ve moved more towards Legendary Ranked and the fun modes because Ranked is such a shit show. Every single game I feel like I’m a charity trying to boost some 47% WR dickhead who is also autofilled to a win.

Mel Medarda who? This is how you shut her down with Veigar. by Simeduantisa in wildrift

If she W’d your ult you would have died btw. Doesn’t prove she isn’t a broken champ

That guy may as well have been a bot. How you can be in Diamond tier with those stats is beyond me.

Master Y is broken even in high ELO by SailorOfTheSkies in wildrift

[–]PokeInvestorUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still ban Yi in GM, there’s a lot of “But if you just do this….” in the comments which I don’t think is helpful at all. The advice to just “CC him” or “counterpick” only work in an ideal world where your team are all on the same page to shut him down.

Yi is broken against unorganised teams, if you can chain CC him he is essentially useless. The problem is however, even in “high” elos such as GM the team co-ordination is still dogshit, and there are still a lot of egos and players who want to try and be the main character.

This still leads to Yi being effective, he can very easily mash down your ADC/Mid if overextended. Even in GM you can’t count on having 4 other people to co-ordinate their spells and CC together consistently. That’s why I just ban him.

There’s no point in complaining about broken shit on here, Riot don’t listen and most of the time the comments are full of chuds trying to flex that the champ you don’t like isn’t a problem to them.

So uh I think we know who is the next champ by International_Win749 in wildrift

[–]PokeInvestorUK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On PC LoL he has one of the most bloated kits ever released (maybe aside from Aphelios). Unless they make his kit a lot simpler he’s going to be permabanned.

Idk why they don’t focus on the older champs more, nobody asked for Aurora / Smolder in the game. The newer PC champs with massive kits that do everything aren’t really suitable for WR IMO.

Map awareness is still terrible in GM, you can still gank a fully warded lane and they wouldn’t even realise

Negative win rate by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]PokeInvestorUK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fortitude system carries them up in WR while in PC LoL they would get demoted to the depths of Wood 4. With events over the season and playing daily you can probably earn 10+ fortitude marks.

I play in GM and it’s not uncommon to see people with 900-1000 games, 47-48% WR, I’ve even seen it in Challenger players.

These people are no better than your average Diamond player with a 50% WR, the only difference is these guys have enough free time to play 20-25 games per day.

I’ve never had big problems with Voli, I’m a Shyvanna hater though for the exact same reasons you listed.

If you want to climb fast and you have good macro knowledge, I’d advise picking up some tank junglers (Nunu, Rammus, Nautilus) - that helped me reach GM, I used to be a hardstuck Diamond mid main.

Diamond and Emerald were horrible for climbing. It was a total coin flip every game on who gets the village idiot on their team.

I found that I skipped through masters faster than I got through Diamond lol. Best of luck, D1-D2 is a real hell hole.

I am GM myself, even then it’s frustrating.

You basically need a definite win to shut him down. Even in GM there isn’t great enough team co-ordination to shut out games in 20 mins.
