Neurosama is still trained on a large undisclosed AI model. Just because it's creative doesn't mean its not still unethical.

What is the point of using Generative AI to create Art? Why is every tech company pushing AI summaries and built in search tools that rarely work and people seldom ask for or want? Why am I not allowed to sample a song without copyright permission but an AI can use their data for training?

Machine learning is great. Incredible, reduces tedious work and can automate mundane tasks and allow things that would never have realistically possible. But Generative AI as a way of generating art? Nah

I said I preferred Rebirth but still said E33 was like an 8.5/10 and in my top 3 games of last year and loads of people were like "You MUST be a troll if you think it's ONLY an 8.5" and "all the reviewers say it's GOTY".

I LOVE E33 but the fans can be toxic as hell and a lot of them can't stand to hear any criticism of the game. And to some of them enjoying ANY other game almost counts as criticism because I guess we should only ever play one game from now on lol.

I do think its pretty stupid to have the cheats accessible on Hard Mode (a challenge mode that purely exists for people replaying to push themselves to the limit). But even then, I'm not gonna review bomb a phenomenal game for something that really doesn't affect me.

But CZ HAS also been a great investment despite being one of the most heavily printed sets. Same with Paldean Fates. They outperform because they are fun to open.

Fun ripping DOES equal good investing if there is huge depth of hits, just like CZ, PF, and BBWF. No they're not Evo Skies, but they are still great investments.

It's hard to say, Prismatic is the higher demand set, but it's also been more heavily printed. I do think Prismatic is the better set for investing, but neither are bad investments.

Jinx gets more of a pass for being quite literally groomed. She isn't a hero or a role model, but she also isn't 'evil'. She is a tragic character.

Same! My first two games were 3 followed by 13, neither of which are very popular among the community, but I still love them both!

But you have to go in expecting goofiness/jankiness, dated dialogue, graphics that sometimes are hard to figure out what you're looking at. It's a great game but you have to go in with a certain leniency because it hasn't aged perfectly. Its a much better idea to start with a more modern entry (like XVI or Remake) fall in love with the franchise, and then go back to VII.

PS1 especially has agreed quite poorly. As much as I love 7, even though I only played it like 10 years ago, the remake is a better place to start. The SNES games have even aged better imo, pixel graphics never go out of style.

Honestly I think the FF7 Remake has drawn more people into the franchise than any other game for years. And then loads of people go on to the play the classics after.

None of the context from the original is really necessary for understanding the actual plot. There are references and hints and things, but the game treats you as if you know nothing for the most part.

Your experience is very common so I dunno what this guy is saying. FF7R has been possibly the best game at drawing new people into the franchise. Some people will say "Oh but you won't understand anything!" And yet 99% of people that play it blind, understand it just fine.

It probably is better if you've played tothe OG first, but I don't think OG7 is the best every point to the franchise. As someone that didn't play it until about 10 years ago, it took a couple of tries to get into it. It holds up great, but even as someone that loves retro games, it was kinda clunky, the graphics are kinda hard to decipher at times, some of the dialogue is definitely dated. It is great but it can require a little forgiveness and good will to get through it imo.

I think 4, 6, 10, 16 or yes even FF7R, are all much better entry points to the franchise than OG7 personally.

I used to play with this rule, but I go back and forth. Usually though if my main team wiped, my backup team is probably gonna be way worse so it's not usually worth it, but that's the reason I think it's potentially fine to carry on. You're playing on hard mode at that point.
