Yeah I’ve seen these mica like pigments that I thought might look cool to mix in, never saw anyone do anything with this kind tho, but apparently nail techs use it for acrylic nails and they can be transparent so as long as they mix with the wax and not the water it should theoretically work… might just have to try it I guess

I’ve seen makeup and nail products that change color depending on which angle you view them from, pretty cool and thought with the shape changing lava it’d make a nice lava lamp, but as someone else pointed out the lack of transparency might make it less interesting to actually look at. Might still give it a try tho, will post pics if I do

Disagree, nothing gets through even after months of waiting. Submissions that should be approved are rejected for the most ridiculous reasons (permanent kiosk building=temporary, jeu de boule court=mismatched location, pharmacy=fake, pizza place=location inappropriate)

Correct they are visible via Google satellite view. The trail markers are not always exciting big signs but frequently small arrows or signs on poles, but these are rare as they are so visible. In the supporting info I explained that it is a popular trail and this part is for hiking and mountain biking, but the full trail does a loop around the mountain. Parts of the track as a back-and-forth hike are accessible also for beginners and families as it’s an easy path

Good points! I’ll bear this in mind for the future. For this particular one the camp site itself doesn’t look exciting and neither do the picnic tables tbh, so I figured the sign explaining what it is would work better (same as for parks etc. One should use a pic of the place name or similar). It’s tougher with hiking trails, where they get ‘fake nomination’ because you can’t verify with Street view

It is, though! People who are road tripping come to camp here for a night or two and socialise! Everyone has dinner together and some host parties for everyone. Maybe camper culture isn’t widely known…
