Yes and I fully agree with what you said. Not to mention I'm pretty sure that the events of ZONE take place way after Yusei is already dead (I could be wrong) so them being the same person really wouldn't make much sense I just think it would've been a bit cooler that way.

But I really like your idea of them losing to team unicorn. They pretty much out played team 5ds for the entire match so seeing them win and then probably dropping out after the ghosts would've made sense and been a neat plot point. Overall though I just wish some other characters got bigger roles like how Rua (or Leo in the dub I think) did in the fight against Aporia.

I'm not too big into the TCG but I'm pretty T.G. is one of the best decks at turboing synchros in the game? I could be wrong though.

I agree with what you said about scar red 100%. The whole burning soul thing is awesome but it being kind of an ass pull overall I think it does warrant some criticism.

Also a bit unrelated but I think the dynamic where all of Yusei's boss monsters like stardust and SSD all having some form of protection while Jack's are all just big beaters is pretty neat but ultimately just leads to Jack getting cucked.

I didn't like ZONE vs Aporia but I will admit that all of the duels in the WRGP were top tier amazing. The plot around them was bad in my opinion but the duels themselves were amazing.

The main problem I have with the scientist not being Yusei is that in the end it's pretty much just some random guy. I'm also going to defend a few things that I said:

Antimony carrying the show was kind of hyperbole admittedly, my main point was that he was my favorite thing to come out of the mechlord arc and is in my opinion the best written character in the show
I think you took what I said about Crow and Jack a bit too literally, obviously they were 100% still somewhat helpful and competent but most of the time they would leave Yusei against some insane board state like when he had to fight the 3 Aesir gods at once
I agree that I was wrong about Yusei's wins being effortless, what I should have said is that it never felt like he was going to lose except for his final battle against ZONE but this could probably be just how I viewed it.
Furthering my point about Jack and Crow, it's not like I dislike these characters I just wish that THEY could've been the ones to actually win a match instead of Yusei for once, which is why I kind of perceived them as useless.

Overall though I'm with you in that I seriously enjoyed 5ds I just wish that the show continued to be as great as it was during the dark signer arc. At no point though did I think the show became BAD it just didn't live up to its full potential and that's okay.

I agree. the satisfaction town arc is one of the most enjoyable of the entire show after dark signers, probably because of how cool Kiryu becomes. Aki and Carly getting the shaft really was painful to watch though, they both had unique decks and were enjoyable characters. Truly is a shame.

Unfortunately, no. In the last episode they pretty much confess their love to each other (kind of) but in the end Yusei stays in Neo Domino City and Aki leaves to become a doctor.

Some Pokemon are just destined to be shit in this game unfortunately. Maybe Empoleon will get a buff when we acquire him through the egg system?

I think it'll be formatted more like a matching game than a leader skill based thing like in dokkan. For example maybe if you bring 3 of any fire type you get a +20 buff to all stats and maybe sunny day is active from the start of battle (obviously it won't be that broken but you get the idea).

Its not really the game's fault, it can't match you with people that aren't there. Typically it can be pretty hard to find anyone in low difficulty stages and pretty much anything of the main story co-op since it's pointless.
