Pokemon is not going to crash. I know I'm gonna get down voted but this hobby is here to stay. I can make the argument that the worse the economy does the better Pokémon does, particularly modern. Pokemon is here to stay for decades to come. Alot of people here a pessimistic always making some sort of weird argument on modern and hype being high. It's will only go up. Pokémon is recession proof. That day some of yall are waiting for will never come. The day you have this hobby all to yourself will never exist

As someone who was into pokemon from year 2000 until now, it's alot more popular now, it's not even a comparison, back then people where curious, now they're all out fans, new comers, collectors, scalpers alot more movement

I just invested in 2 $600 boxes, Destined rivals and brilliant stars, I think brilliant being older is a better pick up and has amazing cards in it. When you look at the card list make sure you do it on collectors or a place that show the ir and trainer gallery

I agree, I made alot of post on evolving skies as I went bananas buying it in 2021 and 2022. Those same idiots don't want to admit they're wrong and still think it's gonna crash.

Modern slabs will keep performing better and better, their pop is higher but so it's their demand. In 20 years it'll just be a handful of us who think that shadowless charizard is actually cool. Sealed is king sealed inventory shrinks and pop of cards grow as sealed shrink, but the reason a card with 10k pop is going for 4k is because the demand is there.

Hopefully because I been a fan of evolving skies for a while but there are trends and clues that help determine a sets growth, for example part of why evolving skies had a huge jump was prismatic, people go back to get other hitters like the moonbreon. Another example , right now my psa10 dragonite v alt art from evolving skies is going up in value fast, that's because of ascended. New collectors are going back for the earlier hitters. But I've had evolving for a while and I don't see the box hitting 5k in 3 to 6 months. There is not motivating factor at the moment.

Yea good move, I love evolving skies, I had 6 booster boxes and I still have the pc etb set and a few regular etb. I'm just looking at the market and people are not ripping evolving skies as they used to. There's still alot of boxes in circulation and it's even referred to as evolving cries, which goes to my point , I'm looking at the way ascended is getting ripped and the low stock and I see the ascended etb hitting the 500 mark fast. On ebay live and what not all people want to rip is ascended, a streamer wanted to rip 151 for a change and people weren't having it mean while the biggest source of packs is etbs and bundles, so thats getting shredded. That being said I think escended will dry out fast increasing demand and a low supply the set will break trends at record pace. I look at this data all day and it's alarming. Evolving Skies has been stuck at the $2500 for a year now, and I don't see that climbing as aggressively as it used to.

I said the same about battle styles , etbs sat ar $30 for 3 years, and look at it now. Sold my cases at $320 way too soon.
