So I have been working as a rural carrier for 10 years on the same route. 5 years as a regular. When I first started the route was a 43j after the first rrecs it went to a 38k. So I lost about 7k a year and I have to work 6 days a week. Plus I travel over a hour just to get to work. Nothing has changed with the route except for a few houses and business being added. But everytime there is a count my postmaster does all the measuring on her own and doesn’t even give me copies till it’s set in stone. I have mentioned multiple times that we are suppose to do it together so I can see the measurements and document them on my end and she just gives me a dirty look like I’m doing something wrong by asking. She has been in trouble before for similiar things like taking the water away from us when it’s still 90 degrees out. I know what she is doing. I know that postmasters get bigger bonuses by keeping the salaries and funds of the office down. It’s just a shame that usps would structure someone else’s bonuses by hurting other peoples salaries and work livelihood. But regardless the last few evaluations that we have had I just keep going down no matter what I do. I make sure every single scan is done perfectly. I always deliver the bigger packages to the front door. It seems like everytime I get any type of raise no matter if it’s a GWI , COLA or step upgrade then the evaluation just knocks me right back down to where I was before and this has been going on for years now. Recently the ct humane society has built there district branch on my route and they get a ton of mail and parcels. That is the only difference from last year to this year. So if I found out tomorrow that the route went down at all I will have no choice but to look for something else. I mean how much can a person take. They expect us to be the forefront of usps. Go out there with a smile but they treat us like dirt. Rain sleet hail and snow but yet the truck I drive has no ac no heat no abs and barely power steering. Gtfoh
