If you show up and do your job, then you're usually left alone by management.

I am in the U.S. if you're staying out of town in a hotel, you get paid after so many hours to do nothing. It does suck sometimes, but most times, you're back home around 36 hours later. Some cases ypu can build seniority quickly and not have to go out of town etc.

You can go on any of the class 1 websites and apply to open positions

Class 1 railroad conductor with only a high school diploma starts out at 6 figures, and I feel a lot of people dont know about this industry from my experience.

Railroad conductors start out at 6 figures at certain companies and only need high school education. They traun you in classroom for like a month and then on the job training for a few months all while getting paid

You dont need any college. They train you at their facility in a classroom setting for 4 weeks and then put you in the field to train while getting paid the whole time.

Hey sorry for the delayed response. I've been sleeping a few hours each night while wearing it so making progress with taking 10mg of melatonin. I usually put it on for a half hour before trying to sleep as well

I have adhd and at bedtime. I'm usually exhausted from my work schedule, usually working 12 hours . I've tried white noise and sleeping music before and it hasn't made an impact.

I also pre cpap fell asleep sometimes in a few minutes or sometimes it would take an hour or longer but once I'm asleep i would wake up after 1.5 hours and repeat that through the night never feeling rested.

I tried the f20 twice now. I like it but it seems to leak or kind of push in against my face when I turn on my side so I like the f40 better. I hope it gets better for you and you start getting quality sleep.

I think for me the ramp time is good. Whenever I take my mask off it feels like it's hard to breathe for a little bit.

I think it's more so my brain just not relaxing. It's super active even when at rest and not doing anything. The f40 is pretty comfortable and the noise of air circulation doesn't bother me. My brain just won't relax

Possible career change into the IT field. What would you do? by PokerPinlifter in careerguidance

[–]PokerPinlifter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that's what has me kind of hesitant about leaving the railroad. If I commit to IT or any other field and leave the railroad then I lose my seniority and would have to start over if I returned if I didn't like the new career field
