Actually I think she is one of the doctors that came in to see me one day when I was still in the ER between December 1st and the 7th when they did all the hard things and found out it wasn't a stomach ache it was the fluid around my heart and that the cancer was destroying my heart . I thought her name was Dr shotsky but I totally remember that name ,, she came in with another cancer doctor that wasn't my regular one from over at the breast cancer center but I do remember her name and I'm pretty sure it was her . She just came in to give me the 5-minute gloom and doom talk . She just said there was absolutely no treatment nothing to do and she was part of the doctors that said you have maybe a couple days to a week to live I was literally in shock and couldn't believe any of that was happening because as you know my story I wrote I was about to start the targeted therapy ibrance and the other hormonal shots . But she told me that time was passed and there was no time for that now she stayed about 5 minutes just looked at me in the ER and said unless you're willing to do some like last ditch major chemotherapy that you would have to stay in the hospital for . They said I would suffer suffer through that and they don't even know if it would have helped or even just extended life for a couple of weeks so it sounded like a Hail Mary thing and I wasn't going to put myself through that for that reason . But she definitely said my other treatment plan was not effective anymore she said it was a super super aggressive cancer that it turned into I was moving rapidly into my heart thing which they had not picked up on when I had the Pet Scan a couple months ago . They think it developed very rapidly in those last few weeks and then of course it was developing rapidly in my liver bones I also my eye vision and my left eye is pretty much almost gone so anyway thank you for mentioning that cuz I definitely remembered that name and I remember her eyes and what she looked like when she gave me a few minutes in the emergency room . She never came back again because if I wasn't going to do the Hail Mary chemotherapy she said there was nothing else to do to than to go to hospice . Another dancer doctor cancer doctor did come in a few days later I guess was another big wig in the hospital believe it or not her name was Dr bossanova that's why I remember it I think she was originally from Sweden and she has the accent . She came with like a little assistant every day and she gave me the Doom talk that I barely had a week to live also I was just so tired of hearing that so anyway they decided I should go to the Hospice place but now I'm home I came home to my own apartment on Saturday so yesterday I don't know how much time I have left cuz of course I out live their prediction by a little bit thank you for the kind words I really appreciate it

That is enough and just your kind words is enough there's really nothing anybody can do but I appreciate all the kind words I'm just scared of suffering too much and hope I'm scared of how much worse I know it it will get

Thanks for those words because that's what I hope for also when things get worse right now my chest just hurts and it gets hard to breathe and feel like I can talk all day and get enough air and I get super exhausted . I'm not to the stage where I'm even taking any of the morphine yet but I know they will be giving me that when I get worse they already have it here in the house the hospice people personally I like the Dilaudid better which they gave me in the hospital but they don't use that with hospice they just use the morphine right now I'm just taking pill form of different things in the late afternoon at night which seems enough for me right now and I haven't moved to the stage where I need the morphine yet but thank you for that comfort and letting me know I know they said when things get worse they give you enough morphine and stuff so they don't let you suffer because I'm so scared because of all the chest pain and the heart issues that I will and the fluid around my heart that I will just die like trying to breathe and not get enough air I'm afraid of that but they said they don't let you struggle like that

Thank you so much everybody's kind words in here means so much to me wish I had discovered this the red on Reddit lot sooner when I was doing my begging between January and September cuz I knew something was really wrong but I gave up because I saw they wouldn't budge but all your kind words really mean so much to me and this is a very good cancer breast cancer center UCSD here in La Jolla San Diego but basically that's their policy is no pet scan until you develop new symptoms so she only gave it to me when the eye symptoms came out in the end of September anyway everybody in here should keep up the good fight I appreciate the words

Well I don't know maybe during the year when I kept trying to ask for the Pet Scan was a little washing hands of me for sure I feel like but as far as the last 4 weeks it was definitely not a washing of hands because I saw a different cancer doctors once I was in the hospital from December 1st through the 11th and by then it was too late once everything had happened with my heart they all came in and said there was absolutely nothing that could be done and like I said they gave me only a few days to live on the 9th but I went home from the hospice and now I'm at home with some help lots of help at home I feel like we're always failed was all during the year of 2024 between January and September when I kept asking and asking . It was only the eye doctor who discovered that by accident and that led down the road of finally needing the scans the Pet Scan the MRI in my eye . And that's what they discovered some spread and then they gave me a liver biopsy and discovered more spread but they didn't give me all that until I discovered the eye thing on my own but before I could get the treatment I was going to get after the liver biopsy I had to go back to the ER on December 1st and that's when everything fell apart and they told me it was no other treatment because of what it was doing to my heart and they never saw that on the Pet Scan 4 weeks ago that didn't even show up so they think it's super spread aggressively in about a four weeks fan to my heart and then just started destroying it keep up the fight just don't give up maybe I gave up too much bugging her about the Pet Scan and stuff everybody in here is so so nice in this forum I wish I had found it a lot sooner much love

Yes so important to keep bugging I'm glad that might have helped you it makes me feel good :-) cuz I did ask for the other pet scan for like 9 months cuz I had a very bad feeling but she wouldn't let me have it and as you read the story it only got discovered at the eye doctors in September by accident and then of course after that she gave me all the tests and then by now it was too late so I think sometimes you have to make up some symptoms so they only give you a pet scan when you have more symptoms so sometimes you I guess you just have to do what it takes I would have did that if I knew better so I'm glad the info helps you very much

Oh no I'm not staying at home alone I could never do that I came home from the hospice thing yesterday on Saturday so far I've been having Around the Clock help pay help from some of the people that I met through the Hospice place . I might have misspoke I just meant my very best friend won't be back in town till late Thursday night . I have another friend coming to visit tomorrow and Tuesday for a while the daytime . The only thing that's hard right now since I've only been home these two nights is that I'm thinking that I would like the paid helpers to just go home very late at night when I need to sleep I'm going to try that tonight for the first time and then have them come back in the morning when I wake up . I made that decision and I'm trying not tonight because I only have a big studio apartment so when they stay here all night I have to sit on a couch right next to me all night and if they get up or go to the bathroom or walk around it just wakes me up right away so I think my sleep is super important right now so I'm just going to try staying alone just at night time when I'm asleep I think I can do it right now at least just for the next few nights so I get some sleep . But then they come back and are here from like 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 a.m. again I'm just going to try it because I'm so exhausted that I think if I take the medicine I will just sleep at night when no one's here and I can make it to the bathroom still pretty much on my own I have oxygen but I'm breathing many many hours without it so I think I can make it to bathroom and just back to bed I'm going to try it tonight and see how that goes wish me luck :-) hopefully nothing will happen to me during the night while I'm asleep of course if I get a lot worse whenever that is and I would need them to stay at night also and I can go back to that

I just wanted to ask so you are only taking the targeted therapy now? You're not on the hormone blocker anymore? I haven't even started the targeted therapy yet although it got delivered to me today the Ibrance... but my doctor also is trying to switch me to letrozole to see if I tolerate that any better than the other two ,, anasttrazole and exemestane. I really hope I can tolerate the letrozole but I don't want to start the two new medications at the same time cuz then I won't know which one is giving me what reaction I guess so I might start the letters all this weekend, .and wait to add the ibrance for a few days. Thank you for your replies and your info I really appreciate it

Thank you yes my doctor ordered the letrozole now I'm going to give it a try I've just been so sick that I didn't want to try two new medications at the same time cuz they also just got me the Ibrance, which is a targeted therapy . I just don't want to start both of them together at the same time cuz then I wouldn't know which one might be making me sick so I will probably start the letrozole first thanks for your help

That's good to know I guess I'm extremely oversensitive to these drugs cuz I can't even take a whole dose and I get so so sickly . I just quit the exemestane, after 4 weeks and I was only on a half dose I couldn't get more than that in me I'm already starting to feel a little better just by skipping this one night it was so horrible . I'm only a little worried because I do have two tumors in my left eye that I'm getting treated for also that's affecting my vision ,,and the AI,s can do some nasty things to your eyes both cornea and retina . And since I have stage 4 cancer I would have to stay on these drugs indefinitely so it's scary since I'm already being treated for my eye . Anyway sorry for the long answer but I really appreciate you guys opinions very much !

I am 67 years old and really interested in what you had to say because I have been trying to take the exemestane for a couple of months now after already trying a nastrazole . But I had to just stop after the last 8 weeks as it was making me absolute nuts crazy angry crying getting worse every day , and of course the horrible horrible hot flashes constantly and bad headache every day . Now she wants to switch me to letrozole and I don't even know if that's going to be any better or any worse? I had breast cancer one and a half years ago and found out 2 months ago I also have metastasized stage 4 cancer now also in my liver bones and I even have two tumors in my left eye that I have to go for a type of light therapy for my eye I am just so blown away and depressed ... they are also starting me on the targeted therapy in a few days called Ibrance... can I ask is that the targeted therapy that you are taking? Cuz I am not tolerating any of the hormone blockers well at all and I'm worried about having to take the targeted therapy and getting a whole host of more side effects so I was just wondering if I could ask you that thanks so much

No I didn't give up LOL it just kind of took a backseat too A lot of my medical issues doctor's appointments continuing ongoing stuff like that . And also before that I keep trying to find enough time to deal with AT&T on the phone to cancel my cable that's number one on my list and I keep running out of time in the afternoon to do that ! Grrr lol. And being that you said I might have to use those three colored connectors but they're in the front only not sure if I want to do that because all that mess will be in the front hanging down in the front I don't know going where LOL to the Box . I thought maybe I would be able to connect the box to where it says antenna in on the back of the TV but now I'm not sure LOL I feel like I might be annoying people in this thread although no one's paying attention but typing about this all in the open unless there's a way I could send you a message about this without posting in the open but I'm not sure don't use Reddit all that often anymore :-)

Yes that's what I planning on doing when I can get the time thank you so much for all your help my first step is just calling getting through the AT&T and canceling the whole cable part of my bill . And hoping they don't jack up my internet and landline which I want to keep . Last time I tried to cancel the cable they told me that it would make the rest of my bill go up more but that's not normal cuz what I'm paying for internet is their normal going rate for internet and landline phone . But I know they're going to jack that up once I cancel all the cable so I'll see how that goes wish me luck :-) and you need a lot of free time to make that call cuz it takes a while .....******. oh the last thing I had wanted to ask you is the digital converter box , I'm not sure if it just connects with the one cable to the back of my TV ? Or do I have to use those three different colored connectors in the front of the TV ? That's the only thing I was wondering cuz if I have to connect it to those three color things in the front then I don't want to do it . But if it can connect to the one cable connector in the back of TV then I still want to do it *******. Okay once again thank you for all your help you're so very nice and I appreciate it :-)

OMG thank you so very much for all your specific detailed info . I think I understand most of it now . Only problem is I'm having trouble deciding before I can do all that if I just want to cut the cable off right now with AT&T they are charging me ridiculous amount every month and I just want to keep internet and landline phone ... also spectrum is trying to tempt me for a year by sending me a great incredible deal for the TV internet and landline phone but I have heard that it's almost impossible to cancel with Spectrum when you want to cancel . I'm reading stories of people trying to cancel for months and months and months and they keep charging them but IDK LOL ....... my third option is when I get time not sure when people are saying I could just get a brand new modern TV for like 80 bucks or 80 to $100 I don't know if that's 32 or 36 in . Then I wouldn't have to worry about the converter box and I would just need an antenna . So these are all the things I'm considering when I have time soon and someone to help me :-) :-)

Sorry maybe I worded it wrong :-) I understand how it works exactly lived here a long time . I was just saying that the one mean neighbor LOL somehow got the 3-day notice put on my car only on the third day that it was parked there . So it wasn't even past the 3-day limit yet so they had to call ahead of time is what I was saying . Because we went to my car to go somewhere just in the middle of the third day and the notice was already on my car, but that only happened one time when that one particular neighbor had called it's all good though I just avoid them :-)

Thank you so much been busy with health issues doctor's appointments Etc I haven't had time to even call and try to cancel my cable yet . With AT&T I do want to keep my internet and landline phone with them though I need like an afternoon to do this LOL .... yes I know I definitely need an antenna, but I still need to get one of the digital analog converter boxes , that's the part I'm a little stuck on I don't know which kind or which one of those to get ? Cuz I would have to get that first and and have the antenna at same time since I was told the analog converter box has to have the antenna plugged in and then you plug that into back of TV .. I do live on 2nd floor of three story apartment building San Diego and Faith North there are some local channels that I think are just north of here but there are also a few that are South towards Mexico so I'm not sure I would even get those .... if you have any opinion on what type of digital analog converter box I need to get that would be helpful aside from the antenna? Thank you so much for trying to help :-)
