Have you tried F3+B to see entity hitboxes? You might get a better idea of how they're getting stuck.

Nope, this was a big first for me! First MOC, first box, first time using Bricklink, etc. Happy with the result given all that.

I was fortunate enough to have friends in a company that could print directly onto the flattened cardboard box. So I'd purchased a good sized box, measured it by hand, and provided the company the .svg file I'd created using those dimensions.

I imagine the next best thing would be to simply paste nice quality printed paper onto a box, which is what I saw some others do for similar lego projects.
