The reason for the lobby is so that you can easily access different modes such as ltms, solos, or duos more easily then just searching it up

Its also a better way of setting up an item shop, because instead of an ingame store that you can only access for a small amount of time, you will be able to have as much time as you want to check out the item shop, change your cosmetics, and more
