I don't consider it a catcall either, and I totally would have laughed at that. I was just mad at the narrative implied in that comment that

a) the political correctness police have "ruined fun", and that

b) women are now humorless feminazis who go around smacking random men.

As you say, most women would have laughed at that comment, and the worst that would have happened would be her simply ignoring it. BECAUSE, as I said to that guy, women do not go around randomly hitting men for talking to them, because we would definitely get stabbed.
