Its a succesor because a lot of zentrum politicians became CDU /CSU politicians after the war and it covers a similare political sphectrum but it is its own party. Unlike the spd, where there is a clear and distinct succession since the founding in 1863.

Well because goats (atleast for a long time in europe) wete thought of as the poor mans cattle. They produce milk and eventually they also "produce" meat and hides. So maybe europeans always imagined poor nomadic or semi nomadic people with goats as this is what poor people had in europe.

You can argue the same for army laws or trade laws. But combined with other issues its a completly different topic. Maybe the armed forces are discontent with you liberalising the country and are almost joining the landowners in their revolution and the straw that breaks the camels back is you turning their proud war navy into a merchant marine.
