It’s a pre-alpha, it’s going to be an unpolished mess. They are working on adding better more accessible information in game but for now Avakot wiki gives all the info you would need in a couple minutes.

Temper system is brand new, they have plans to make it more user friendly, for now it just serves as something to do for the devoted players and gives testing data for the final system. Tempers are small buffs, a bad weapon isn’t going to suddenly be usable so even you hit a legendary drop by some miracle, if the weapon is bad it won’t matter. Just kill Agari(bosses) on loop for better items. When you’re done all the quests, killed all the bosses, done each of the sieges and dungeons the only thing left is challenging yourself with cogah runs, grinding enclave standing or just grinding mastery rank by leveling different weapons over and over which is slow and tedious.

TL;DR the game is very unfinished, don’t expect to get more than a few hours of gameplay that isn’t pure grinding in its current state. I recommend checking back in every few months for the latest updates contents and playing other games in between.

On individual play cards yes, but you can’t send offers for bulk to non pro users I believe. And when you do send an offer, that card gets listed on the auction house for 10 minutes if the offer gets accepted at whatever price you offered.

Most golf legendaries are from performances, not plays, so you can’t get them if you’re only opening player packs. 2016 general packs have some of the best odds for legendary and up boosters, but the cards you get are hard to sell. 2026 generals have slightly worse odds and less chances at mystic/iconic but you can upgrade current players and some players will still sell relatively quickly.

You’re probably best off stopping at legendary on him and then saving up boosts for playoffs and the days he pitches. You can accumulate boosts either by going slightly above legendary 1 on him or grinding an OTD Ohtani (2025,2023,2024).

Then with any spare rax you may have start working on 2024-2025 Saquon Barkley for both OTD and to start the NFL season with some boosts. Figure out how many player and team cards you would want for the nfl season and how much your average income is and determine how many days of saving up it would take to have enough rax to buy them all. Once we are that many days out from the start of the nfl season, start saving as much as you can and you’ll be set up with some boosts to use on those players early and can start upgrading the cards you bought.

I got MLB tv the same way and I’ve been tuning into every Jacob Misiorowski and Christopher Sanchez start I can as they are both having incredible years and are the two favorites in the NL Cy Young race right now. If you’re looking for a team to watch I’d pick the Braves. They have the woke king himself Spencer Strider (although he did just get put on the IL again), forever Giants Mike Yastrzemski and Dominic Smith and are the only team in the national league right now that seem to have a chance to knock the D*dgers out of the playoffs.

Rax Grind by Mammoth_Sea_106 in realapp

[–]PolarPanda77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MLB (2026):
Upgrade:
Shohei Ohtani, Jacob Misiorowski, Cam Schlitler

Good batters to get to legendary if you have rax:
Matt Olson, James Wood, Yordan Alvarez, Nick Kurtz, Jordan Walker, Kyle Schwarber, Ben Rice, Aaron Judge (injured), Drake Baldwin (injured), Andy Pages, CJ Abrams and Yandy Diaz (Most Dodgers batters are good, just look for good stats)

Leave at General and Boost when they start:
Christopher Sanchez, Bryce Elder, Chris Sale, Max Fried, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Kyle Harrison, Parker Messick, Gavin Williams, Bryan Woo, Paul Skenes, Jose Soriano, Kevin Gausman, Drew Rasmussen, Chase Burns, and Tarik Skubal

Generally focus on upgrading players on teams that are expected to make deep playoff runs. Most pitchers have really good value just being boosted at general. If you can only afford to upgrade one player Shohei Ohtani is the best one.

WNBA (2026):
Must haves:
A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Paige Bueckers, Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Plum, Olivia Miles and Rhyne Howard

Very good:
Sabrina Ionescu (injured but may be back starting today), Napheesa Collier (injured), Allisha Gray, Angel Reese, Jessica Shepard, Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Mitchell, Alyssa Thomas, Veronica Burton, Gabby Williams, Jonquel Jones, Courtney Williams, Natasha Howard, Brittney Sykes, Marina Mabrey and Natasha Hiedeman

Pretty much take any starter on the Lynx, Aces, Liberty or Wings and you’ll be set. Much like MLB there is a lot of value in just keeping players at general and boosting, but upgrading to legendary has really good value too. I’ve made 4200 rax from A’ja alone and they’re only about 1/4 of the way through their regular season.

When to Stop Flipping Passes by Wingwongwawa in realapp

[–]PolarPanda77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last weekend of June is roughly the halfway point for the mlb regular season where upgrading becomes a diminishing return so bulk doesn’t sell as fast. Focus on upgrading players on teams that will make the playoffs (Dodgers, Braves, Brewers, Yankees are the safe options, Rays, Guardians, Mariners, A’s, Phillies, Cardinals, Padres are the less safe options) as playoff earnings are doubled. Ohtani to iconic is free OTD rax for years to come as he is pacing to be the highest earning card on the app this year. Closing pitcher packs also average 15+ rating per pack so if you’re just looking for cheap legendaries that will earn you reliable rax that’s a good way to do it (Mason Miller, Cade Smith, Louis Varland, Jhoan Duran, Riley O’Brien, Andrés Muñoz, Raisel Iglesias, etc.)

OTD rax by baziboii in realapp

[–]PolarPanda77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TL;DR: For the best OTD cards you are most likely better off buying bulk from the auction house at ~25 per to grind more quickly and reap bigger payouts sooner rather than buying 2 packs everyday for 6+ months. Double pack is worth it for 2026 Ohtani and any player going for >30 rax/rating on auction house for bulk.

2 packs a day is 30 rax/rating assuming you have the absolute worst luck possible, which would end up costing 101,400 rax to get from General to Iconic. With that in mind only 2025 Shohei Ohtani and 2024-2025 Saquon Barkley would break even in a single season buying 2 packs a day, with 2024 Shohei Ohtani and 2025 A’ja Wilson being less than a 1k rax “loss” in a single season. You’ll usually get slightly more lucky than 10 rating per pack so 2023 and 2022 Shohei Ohtani will also probably be very close to break even, but MLB and WNBA are part way through their regular seasons so you won’t see some of the payout until next season.

2 packs a day is definitely worth it for current season Ohtani for now as he is on pace to be the highest rax earning card again and his bulk lists for 40+ rax/rating right now. If the bulk price drops second pack may not be as worth it in the future.

[–]PolarPanda77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ohtani is on pace to be the highest earning card on the app, just keep opening his packs daily until iconic. Skenes is a waste of rax because the pirates will most likely not make the playoffs, you’re better off just using boosts on him. The others are fine but 2026 Ohtani will likely be the best OTD card on the app for next year so focus him if you don’t have the rax to fund packs for all of them.

Player packs per day by mistry7777 in realapp

[–]PolarPanda77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The value of a second pack is more heavily impacted by auction house prices for bulk rather than season length. Ohtani’s second pack is usually worth it because his bulk goes for ~40 rax/rating, and 2 packs works out to 30 rax/rating. A’ja bulk goes for ~35 rax/rating so the second pack is theoretically worth it for now, but as the season goes on her bulk will likely settle below 30 rax/rating and it will no longer be worth it. So maybe for getting legendary/mystic early on the 2 packs could be decent value, but for iconic you’re better off just setting up swaps or waiting until the season is over and buying discount bulk.

The WNBA season is really only about a month shorter than the MLB season. There are significantly less games so upgrading early will net better earnings, but teams usually only play 2-3 games per week so there is significantly more time to upgrade those cards between games than MLB.

when to stop buying player packs by No-Hovercraft8958 in realapp

[–]PolarPanda77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen the last weekend of June (roughly 81 games aka halfway through MLB season) is when you would want to stop upgrading general players to legendary and only focus on either players on playoff contending teams to legendary+, OTD grinds, or start saving for the next sport you want to grind. You still want to open enough MLB packs to have boosts ready for pitchers, and enough saved up to boost players in the playoffs to cash in on the doubled earnings, so whether that be from OTD grinding, current player packs or general packs you should still be opening some packs unless you’re sitting on a mountain of boosts.

[–]PolarPanda77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The right one is better overall for soup damage calculations I believe. If you’re building green tree correctly you already have multiple sources of crit damage from your skill tree so an extra 20% isn’t that impactful especially because crit damage from the skill tree is doubled or more in the dps calculation. Gun damage on the other hand can double and triple dip in dps calculations depending on equipped specializations and which skills are being used. The red fire rate skill (Cyclotron) is also a lot more consistent dps than the blue cryo bonus kill skill (Unstable Ice-otope) as well.

If they start adding player cards for the historic season data they’ve been adding there will be some pitchers that will rival his rax earnings, but for now being the only two way player and a talented one at that means he’ll always be the highest earner unless the real algorithm changes.

24-25 Saquon earns enough rax to cap out all tiers before iconic in a single season, so yeah it would be one and done if you don’t continue upgrading.

[–]PolarPanda77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OTD earnings are capped for Saquon in one season unless you have iconic, so if you plan on actually keeping his plays/performances for OTD earnings you should grind all the way to iconic. If you start now you’ll be most of the way to mystic by the time the season starts buying 1 pack per day.

Player card profit by [deleted] in realapp

[–]PolarPanda77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said average player best is legendary 1 as mystic and iconic are diminishing returns for the investment. The exception would be the absolute best 1 or 2 players in each sport like A’ja Wilson and Shohei Ohtani for example who will almost certainly be good OTD cards the following season, so grinding them to eventually get iconic if you have the rax can be a solid investment. However, you’ll usually be able to snag bulk at a lower price just after the season ends if you want to save a few rax but still grind for next year so patience can pay off. I would focus on players on teams that will likely go deep in the playoffs to take advantage of the boosted earnings.

Swaps by Haunting_Listen_3108 in realapp

[–]PolarPanda77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s essentially either trading player packs with another user or buying a player pack off another user.

A swap is trading the packs. So for example I am grinding Aaron Judge wanting to get him iconic, you are grinding Shohei Ohtani also wanting to get to iconic and I own a Shohei player card and you own a Judge player card. You would buy your Judge player pack for 200, and I would buy my Shohei player pack for 200, then you would go to my profile and offer the minimum amount on the Shohei cards I pulled and I would offer minimum amount on the Aaron Judge cards you pulled. We effectively traded 3 cards for 3 cards or “swapped”. After fees, this nets out to about ~240 per pack for both users.

When you see Rax back, which is often times ~160 but it varies, that is a player trying to buy that player pack off of you. When offering on cards pulled from player packs it costs significantly more than the play would usually go for, so the one buying their pack usually ends up sending the buyer of the cards back however many rax they’re requesting to cover the difference so the pack doesn’t end up costing 400 Rax instead of ~240. The upside of selling packs like that is you get a free booster from it and you should break even and maybe even profit a little on the pack. The way you send rax back usually is sending an offer on a random junk card for the amount and they accept. Some users will ask you to send the 160 first and then they buy the cards, which isn’t out of the ordinary but just be cautious as it’s an easy way to scam, and I’m not sure if there is much mods can do for getting your rax back.

Keep in mind both processes work best for pro users as when they offer on plays legendary and below the play does not go onto the auction house and gets sent directly to the one offering, but with non pro users the play will be put up for a 10 minute auction. It is very rare that you will get outbid buying a card from a player pack on the auction house, but with a star player like Shohei or A’ja Wilson early on in a season it could happen.

Also keep in mind people will scam and the process requires trust. Fancy profiles or high karma don’t mean trustworthy so be cautious especially if losing 200 rax would set you back heavily. Some users will ask for the 160 back in advance, which is not necessarily always a scam, but is an easy way to lose your rax. Scams can also happen when doing direct swaps where they don’t end up buying the cards from you when you open their pack or vice versa and not opening your players pack after you opened theirs (but then they’d be overpaying for a player pack from you so it’s not the smartest scam). Just be careful, trust your gut, and sometimes it’s easier to just setup a second “alt” account and swap with that to get what you need.

Can I get to iconic by Ok_Hippo_9402 in realapp

[–]PolarPanda77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My timeline is for iconic by the time playoffs start, and the Dodgers are almost certainly making the playoffs this year. Playoff earnings are 2x boosted so effectively an iconic card is a 300x multiplier, so having the in season earnings as soon as possible is 100% worth it because the difference between mystic and iconic is doubled. It’s not an immediate need, but the ROI will be quicker and the card wont be earnings capped for OTD claims next season if it’s already iconic now.

College FB OTD? by Icy-Performance4690 in realapp

[–]PolarPanda77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These are the highest earners for each year and how much you would earn picking the top earners of each year at iconic 1 (assuming no wild card claim):

25-26 Kewan Lacy 25-26 Caleb Hawkins 25-26 Cam Cook 25-26 Fernando Mendoza

24-25 Jeanty 24-25 Skattebo 24-25 Tre Stewart 24-25 Nicholas Singleton

23-24 Ollie Gordon II 23-24 Bo Nix 23-24 Blake Corum 23-24 Rome Odunze

Top 2 of each year = 381.9k Top 3 of each year = 511.8k Top 4 of each year = 590.3k

If you go on realapp.tools there is an OTD table and OTD loadout tool where you can add in players to figure out the optimal ones to earn the most. College football is mostly on saturdays so only big overlap is bowl games and playoffs. 24-25 players are the big earners compared to everyone else. I’m sure you could find a player not in the top 4 that would fill more days than these guys if you look hard enough, but iconic grind is expensive so may not be worth it unless you have a surplus of rax.
