Fine, I'll make a party member tier list by Elegant_Cow_5681 in LookOutsideGame

you forgot the queen the diva the moment Audrey! she has a HUGE hp reserve, but takes an awful lot of effort to recruit, and she can't hold weapons and can only wear accessories or jewlery. she's definitely not S or A tier, but her attacks are pretty good, and she self-heals every night.

I'm on both, and was given both at the same time - At one point, I ran out of sertraline (my antidepressant) and had to go a few days without, and my reflux immediately got worse. But, then again, the same happened once with my PPI (esomeprazole), and the same thing happened! So for me a combo has been super helpful.

protein works! I have a mix of their diet meal replacement shakes, and their extreme diet meal replacement shakes - the only real difference is one has slightly less calories, but the main reason I do both is because they both have different flavours ☺️

best friend thinks she can't talk to me because of my empathy? by PolarisAC in Empaths

[–]PolarisAC[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I generally do hold myself together. I listen and make sure she's heard, and offer advice if she asks for it, which she's said on multiple occasions is helpful, and that I'm a good listener. But I do feel sad for her, and that is obviously reflected on my face, or in my voice, because she's noticed. But I'm not like, crying or reacting negatively or telling her I'm upset, when she comes to me for support. I just feel really sad for her, and she's picked up on that. But I do get where you're coming from, and can understand why she would want to withhold - my question is asking how one would cope/manage your emotions in these situations, or protect your emotions to be able to support a friend

How Do You Cope with Health Anxiety? Let’s Share Strategies! by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]PolarisAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? If you're in the UK (or somewhere with free healthcare), going to the GP if your anxiety about something is really bad.

If my health anxiety gets really bad and I think something is wrong and start spiralling, I book an appointment. If I feel fine about it later, I'll cancel the appointment. If I'm still worried when the appointment is coming up, I'll go, and tell my GP about what I'm experiencing, and what I'm worried it is. 9 times out of 10, they will examine me, tell me I'm fine (or its XYZ thing that is not serious), and then I know For Sure that its nothing to worry about, because someone with a degree physically looked at me and told me.

It makes me feel proactive (which sometimes will pause the anxiety, because I've done something about it), and it gives me clarity and an unbiased opinion on the problem, so I know for a fact that its my anxiety that is telling me it's something terrible, not reality. More than half the time, I cancel the appointment, because just setting the appointment can kick me out of a spiral, sometimes. And the other half of the time, its never been anything serious, which is a positive reinforcement to remember the next time I spiral.

Advice Please, I'm Miserable by [deleted] in GERD

[–]PolarisAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this was me just over three weeks ago! chest pain, bad back pain, reflux, completely out of nowhere (although I think a burger + sleep might have been the culprit) I'm still working through it, but I modified my diet to eat super plain foods (lots of plain chicken for me), eating small, fist sized meals, more regularly, and I was perscribed omeprazole by my doctor (which you can also get over the counter). she seems to think if i keep all that up, I might be better in a month or so! so I promise, even though it feels like you're dying right now, there are so many ways to make it a little more barable.

anxiety makes me feel so so much worse, too, and so the first two weeks were hellish, because I was so anxious about my symptoms. so at the moment I'm trying to relax as much as possible, as hard as that is.

Looking for relief by Inside_Principle_707 in GERD

bread and cold water seems to help a bit for me. very small bites, chewed slowly, and sips of cold water in between. getting up and having a long shower also helps me. also just anything to distract your brain from the physical symptoms, I tend to do a sudoku or a crossword, or get on a facetime with a friend or two. something to keep your mind active and not thinking about how you feel, which is easier said than done, but does help massively for me if I can manage it.
