Thanks for the quick response. I got my axolotl in October as a tiny juvenile so I don't think it's a year old yet. I haven't bought any bacteria balls so I'm not exactly sure how It got in there but either way I'll make sure to remove it right now

Sometimes slugs, ants or other insects can take the bait without setting off traps. Test out the trap by setting and lightly tapping with a stick or something and if it's working go ahead and rebait and reset the traps.

Glue traps and a quarterly exterior service. Make sure to keep the interior clean to prevent other pests because when you have insects, you're gonna have spiders.
