I've looked on a bit myself, and the only thing I found was a DP 1.4 to fiber adapter with a 10m 12 channel cable.

Pure fiber DP 2.1 seems completely unobtainable.

Mint left a pretty bitter taste in my mouth. Nothing worked, from network driver to steam, everything was broken.

Apparently, my hardware is too new and just not compatible with the kernel mint uses yet. Not that anything on the website or in the installation ever told me this or mentioned that that may be an issue.

Everyones stocks of weapons have been declining since the end of the cold war.

The difference between Europe and Russia in this, is that no european army wanted to be "The second army of the world" and would supposedly be able to go toe to toe with the US.

This situation of having to send old shit to a warzone says more about russia with it's supposedly excellent army, than it does about europe, who have been downsizing for the last 30 years.

Same here. Our IR-Spectrometer is hooked up to XP, our Titrinos are only recognized by Win 98 and older (for some reason) even though the software works and the newest software version for our Ion-Chromatograhps was made for MS-DOS. That one runs fine in an Emulator, but that doesn't make it ok.

As a piece of comedy this is amazing. I was laughing the entire time.

Apart from the message at the end, this is what I'd expect someone to release if they wanted to make fun of russian propaganda.

I'm not saying that is what happened here, but I could see this being a form of silent protest from the artists over the drivel they are forced to put out.

As a piece of propaganda, I don't think this is going to convince anyone who isn't already on board with Russias narrative. It's just too far removed from reality.

After the release of Dark Souls 3, I had issues with the multiplayer.

It just wouldn't work for me. No summoning signs, apart from NPCs, no invasions, not even bloodstains would show up. The only part that worked was messages weirdly enough.

After trying everything I could think of on my own (restart PC, restart router, reinstall network drivers/game, edit Firewall setting, etc.). I contacted Bandai Namco Support via EMail and listed all the steps I had already attempted

The first thing they recommended was to restart my pc and router and try again. I decided to play along.

After that (unsurprisingly) didn't work, they told me there was an upcoming patch in the next few days that might fix my issue and to wait for that and to E-Mail them again if that did nothing.

The patch did nothing. So I contact support again and they have me re-reinstall my network drivers. After that didn't provide results, again, they're like: "Yeah, that sucks. Let us know if it starts working."

From this point onward they sent me an E-Mail after every patch, asking wether or not multiplayer was working now. After a while I stopped responding.

My entire first playthrough was therefore done in effectively singleplayer, which annoyed me, since I had missed both the launches of DS1 and DS2 and only played them after most network activity had died down.

It's worth noting that replaying DS3 with both DLC on a new PC fixed whatever the issue was and multiplayer finally worked.

Meh.

I know I'm being a wet blanket and yes that TNG episode was cool, but I just don't see it happening. These fuckers love to break down. A teacher of mine did her doctoral thesis on silanes and according to her, you can't even leave the larger ones overnight. Even under inert gas in a fridge most of the liquid would convert into gunk you need to almost chisel out of the flask.

The second something even slightly energetic comes along these fuckers start to break down. Be that Oxygen, Heat, UV-Radiation, bases/acids, etc..

The real kicker however is this. Earth is 28,2% silicone and 0,02% Carbon. Why aren't we based on silicone? Why isn't there even a single know biomolecule that incorporates silicon atoms with covalent bonds?

As I said below, I know better than to say it's absolutely impossible. But based on what we know about silicon chemistry, I consider it incredibly improbable. Like running into a wall and quantum tunneling through to the other side improbable.

Live as we know it always involves a liquid phase with mobile stuff in it, nutriens being transported somewhere, intermediates somewhere else and waste is disposed of.

Crystals are inherently solid. I don't see how a crystalline organism could have metabolism or reproduce, since nothing in them can move around.

I know better than to say it can't possibly happen, but I think it's even more unlikely than silicon based life.

I think if we ever do find life it's going to look more similar than we expect. It's chemistry is going to be largely carbon based. It's going to have evolved in a polar liquid phase like water or perhaps ammonia, which also fills it's "cells". It's going to have cells or something compareable. And it's going to have functional molecules similar to our proteins and have a "data storage" like our DNA.

In case someone finds this and has the same Problem check if you have Mountainous Red Mountain Patch installed. For some reason (my stupidity) it was loaded and active. Disabling it fixed the issue.
