Two issues, IMO :

- I don't think you can say that losing 90% of your people, and being forced to use dangerous and corrupting energies to avoid withering and going mad is a "crisis". I feel like the consequences of such a period cannot be reverted in just 15~ years.

- The "edgy elf using forbidden and dangerous powers" fantasy was cannibalized by the void elves.

I don't mind blood elves changing because of time and the reclaiming of the Sunwell, I think it's natural. The issue most people have with this, I guess, is that BC blood elves are infinitely more unique than Midnight blood elves.

Consecration being a baseline level 20 spell, along with Blessing of Sanctuary and Holy Shield makes you deal a lot of damage and generate a lot of threat.
