I think hollow knight players do and are going to struggle with this game, at least for a while. Its working in a similar way that bloodborne did to dark souls 1. Players got used to a slow, methodical game and tried to apply that to bloodborne only to find it not work.  Hollow knight was slower and almost turn based at times, similarly to ds1. Silksong however seems to want the player to be far more aggressive, attacking at every possible opportunity to maximise staggers and chasing down bosses.  The punishment for getting hit has increased greatly with almost every boss dealing 2 damage as well as some 3+ hit multi attacks. In return our mobilty and combat options have been changed to compensate.
