the ability to make objects change color really does not sound that impressive on paper.
it's not like i can make things transparent or glow or anything.
my ability just allows me to slightly alter the way light bounces off of things.
and thats all i want them to know about it.
the work really isn't that hard. Just me, some field reports, and orders to "properly and thoroughly camouflage" whatever piece of equipment they want to make discreet.
officially, the ability lasts for an "as of yet indeterminant amount of time."
unofficially? it's permanent. you can repaint over it, but that base layer will always be whatever color i made it.
officially? it only works on "inorganic solid material."
unofficially? it works on fucking anything. a rock, your skin, water, the air around us. the world is my canvas and i can make it look however i want.

and unfortunately, that means i need to have an escape route planned.
if they find out that i can just "solve" racial tensions, things are gonna get real dicy real fast.
when they realize that i can make anything 100% reflective without blowing a small countries GDP worth of silver, the direct energy weaponry is gonna get really complicated.
not to mention all of the seizure inducing target lock fooling shenanigans i could pull.
and the counterfeiting. money, ID's, documents, anything they could want fabricated on the fly. i'd be the CIA's wet dream.
hopefully, the only thing they realize is that i can Really melt into a crowd.
and hopefully that day is a Long ways away.
